Where does this large tax debt eminate from.

I refer in particular to the word "legacy" as used by the club.

I would like to know the answer to this too.

I have heard this term several times over the last few years, and the last time I asked a direct question to a director the answer was "it's sorted". Maybe we have more than one "legacy"!!

This is what my "hunch" is about.

I want to know where the [size=150"legacy" [/sizecomes from.

If the club goes into administration, then the players contracts are null and void!!!

Are the "new" owners going to issue new contacts on the same terms or very different and hope the players accept them?

How come there is more information or more detail in the press than on the club site? The fans who actually contribute to the club deserve better.

Our chairman instead of saying do not panic should make a statement with an apology to everyone, as I am aware the debt goes back quite a way.

The question is to the chairman why has there been no apology??

I hold promise for reasonable responses to the first five questions, but none for the last.

They aren't null and void but the administrator can release anyone from a fixed term contract without having to buy the contract out or pay compensation

My question would be, how much does the club owe?

You never know, there may be fans out there who could pay it off or people willing to raise funds for us.

Would the board be accomodating to a new ISA, or would it be seen as an attempt to take on the tax legacy?

That will depend on if the new board want to strut around like Roman emperors in front of grateful plebs or if they want to explore every avenue of taking the club forward

Will any of the old directors be involved in the new club.
If the answer is yes, then what capacity will that be.

I hope the directors of cougars 2001 ltd are not on any new board simply because to me what will change to stop this happening again, as under their stewardship we are in a mess again.
The new club has to start without direct link to the failures and I will be concerned if this is not the case.We can only mention the fact the directors saved the club for a short time as this becomes tedious based on events now happening.
Now that we are likely to be in administration as a result of non payment of tax and the effects of this regarding survival in the championship will be felt for a long time.
As individuals I have nothing against either director but only as directors resulting in the latest mess to me all the good work they did as been undone. Lets hope a new year brings positive changes.

Lets just leave it as question for the club.

Why does the club seem to think there is little problem, and the new 2010 Cougars will take over - isn't this down to the administrator that gets appointed?
The main creditor appears to be HMRC - why would they accept less from an administrator when they were already quite prepared to see the club wound up on the 9th?
Doesthis mean other creditors suffer for the sake of HMRC?
Is all the above another display of the arrogance that has been endemic in the running of the club in its present guise and alienated so many supporters?
How deceitful have the current club been in their dealings with supporters - given the first question above, how can they guarantee season tickets will be honoured? Can they guarantee that now, today? (If the answer is no, everything thing said so far is about as stable and trustworthy as a house built on quicksand)
Is it an administrators duty to look after Cougars, or to obtain the best deal for the creditors? (Actually we all know the answer to that one)
Wouldn't the administrator be liable to civil proceedings by creditors if he failed to obtain the best deal for creditors by going along with some cosy deal already agreed in the background?
Dependent on the answers to the above, is there some confusion between hope and fact at the club and on the part of some posters?

Why is Gary Fawcett (The man who has sent one part of Link Telecom into administration) been allowed to talk to Neil Spencer and then suddenly set up a new cougar company so dispensing with Colin Farrar who has put a 6 figure sum into the Cougars - Is Neil still on the sidelines waiting for his investment to come back from the new company - this absolutely stinks!!!!!
