Have to agree with Rach, not a good day at the office - but, we had the wherewithall and guts to turn a poor performance into a winnning one. Even when we twice gave Blackpool attacking position on our line right at the end of the game we held out. I think if we had the same opportunity at the other end we would have scored on both occaisions.
A very, very poor first half from us but full credit to blackpool for their effort. We picked it up with some flashes of brilliance in the second - but we need consistency. Blackpool look very good bet to do well this year but they will need to be careful not to get too niggly - the ref was starting to get wise. It's interesting that when we had them under pressure in the second half one of their forwards (Best?) said "come on lads lets get it together, they are playing like a unit. That seemed to be the difference - when we played like a unit we looked very, very good (when we didn't we looked awful)
By the end of the Northern Rail we should have a pretty good idea of where we are.
Oh, to the two "older" keighley fans who were spitting feathers and shouting to all who would listen " we didn't deserve to win" I can only say NONSENSE. The game lasts 80 mins and we were two points in front at the end. We have lost lots of games we've [i"deserved"[/i to win but its the points that count. If your opponents can only keep pressure on you for 50 mins and even if you only go in front in the last second of the game then thats down to your determination or your opponents folly.
Well done Keighley for playing right to the end.
