Interesting to note 2 heat winners (Boherna Best and Wise Thought) were behind Windy Millar in the first round.

Goes against the grain a bit but doubt the current 5/4 will last long in the morning and will probably go off odds on in the 8.30.

25/1 out right might be worth taking as the last dog to beat him (Greenwell River after crowding at Shawfield also won a heat tonight) so his form at the minute looks very solid indeed.

Gateshead tripped me up last week but - 6 v Oldham is surely a rick by the bookies. The way Thunder score for fun I can not see Oldham living with them.

Oldham are capable of racking up a decent number of points, and Thunder's defence is questionable to say the least.

Think Salford -34 vs Batley isnt a bad Bet.

Seems to be a disagreement amongst the bookies over the televised game.

Stan James only give Wakefield 2pts start whereas Bet 365 and Blue Square give the Wildcats 6pts.

William Hill seem to have taken some money for Halifax with their +24 (8/11 now from an opening 10/11).

Elsewhere Blue Square, Ladbrokes & Stan James only ask Castleford to concede 20pts.

I'm trying to pick out a few handicaps for a challenge cup accumulator but tbh there aren't too many gifts available.

The one I'm worried about is Huddersfield, if it goes to form then they should do it easily but 52 is still an awful lot of points.

I was thinking a score around 64-10 for Hudds vs Rochdale, and dont think they should struggle to put about 10 tries past Rochdale, so as long as they convert them should be ok, Dale will only score one or two at best.

Sunderland at 11/4 looks big to win at Bolton.

Sunderland - not won in their last 8 away games.
Bolton - lost 1 of their last 6 home games.

I flagged up East Fife to beat Stranraer about 3/4 months ago at 11/10. They won 4-0 away from home. They played them again 5 weeks ago at home and won 4-0. Today is Stranraer v East Fife again and East Fife are 6/5. Patchy form recently but I'd still be having a bit on it.

Stranraer are awful and are rarely as short as 2/1 or so even at home and it's one of those games where players are probably thinking more of their end of season P**s Up after the match than the 90 minutes on the pitch.

The problem with giving up big handicaps is the team doesn't need to win by that many especially in one-off cup ties. It's not one I would include but that doesn't mean they won't do it.

Can't honestly see an away win. A draw maybe as Wanderers don't really need a win although one would be nice.

Recent history doesn't favour Sunderland either.

3 meetings at the Reebok in 6 seasons 1-1, 2-0 & 2-0.

Bolton also won at the SoL 4-1 in the league earlier in the season (although they did lose a cup tie 2-1 on Wearside in January).
