I think after the top 3 (on mine) there are a few teams not too far apart. I think the Giants and Saints have the edge, then the likes of the Bucs and Bears like you say but i certainly wouldn't disagree too much with your assessment.

To be honest I might be alone in this but I just don't see this Giants team doing anything this season. They might make the playoffs but I don't think they will do much. I will almost certainly be wrong though.

| According to Bill Parcells in an article I read after we got fined, he reckoned 90% or more of teams do the same thing and have done for years, the Pats were just the ones that got caught first

| Quote ="ST_CONROY"I was just trying to wind you up Mark
. As for the head of officiating, i'm sure we've all questioned Stuart Cummins? How is that any differnet.
We are responsible for Vick being unleashed on the league as we knocked Kolb out of the game, Vick came in and granted played very well. He was effective because we had no gameplan prepared for him, i'm sure you can appreciate you have to gameplan differently for different style of QB. For Vick i'd imagine you'd aim to get more outside pressure and maybe play a Spy on him whereas Kolb you can come straight up the middle at him.
In all honesty i'd rank them:
1. Packers- We aren't rolling on all cylinders yet and we occassionally make stupid mistakes but our offence is starting to click. Our defence is argubaly the best of the top NFC teams. IIRC we are top 10 in run and top 15 againt the pass.
2. Atlanta- Impressive at home but it is somewhat over-exaggerated when you look at it. They can take anybody close at home but in outdoor stadiums they have played Steelers (LOST), Cleveland (WON- barely when Delhomme/Wallance were QB), Eagles (LOST). I expect them to be #1 seed as they only have to play Bucs, Panthers and Seattle away and should easily win 2 of those. I'm not convinced they have an good enough D though. (Maybe only my bias prevents me putting them at 1.)
3. Philadelphia- Very good team and the top 3 in my rankings are very close together. Atlanta are above them by virtue of being better at home, plus I seem them faltering when the weather gets worse.
4. Giants- You've had some good games and bad games but i think you'll come good down the stretch.
5. Saints- Still very good.
They aren't neccesarily the seed order I expect them to be in for the play-offs but how i'd rank them.'"
ESPN -
1. Falcons
2. Eagles
3. Packers
4. Saints
5. Giants
6. Bucs
7. Bears
I wouldn't have you number one. I'll probably change my mind should you win sunday. The top three are quite close. I don't agree with your defence part though. We have the 2nd best in the league.
Statistically. Although I think we're dodgy against the pass if our 4 don't get pressure.

I kinda get what you mean. I think if our starting wideouts come back healthy we'll be a threat as we have great balance offensively. Our biggest enemy this year has been ourselves.

That sounds about right to me. If we beat the Ravens tomorrow I think we definitely deserve a top 5 place.

| Not really sold on anyone yet. I think the falcons D will be exposed leaving Matt Ryan too much to do, the Giants D looks weak unless the front 4 can get some sort of pressure, The packers/Eagles are hinging on QB performance on the day, something I never like to trust (think carolina few years back.) It really is a toss up but least my bets are keeping it interesting for time being
The Bears and Bucs Im happy to see doing well, even though I hope the bears fall away a little. The Bucs I believe may get exposed against a good on form side, but them like the lions and rams can see being contenders in the next few years.
I really think this year no one has an epic epic defense like the steelers/ravens of yesteryears where they can make up for offensive shortcomings. I really see the entire post season resting On QBs shoulders, and then youll all get to argue about whose No1 QB (psst lets hope its rodgers but dont tell conroy i said that ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif) )
Hope that made sense my posts will get shorter its all bottled up thats all .

Think you'll batter the Jets next week too but like any other team really the D could let you down come play off time, although can see pats going deep. (Hows that for sitting on fence)

To be fair I agree (not about the jests game tho I am sitting on the fence too ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif) ), we can put plenty of points on anyone, but our D is very inexperienced although still good IMO but can also let in a boat load of points, I have said since the start of this season on here that I think our D will be awesome in the next 2 years so anything we do this years is a bonus.
Who`s your RL team btw?

| I feel like I've joined the love inn
Looking at bets for tomorrow and some are tempting although whatever I suggest avoid at all costs:
Miami, Green bay, san diego are all underdogs, especially the chargers tempting me, which means a very long monday morning. Tampa Bay and Jacksonville are more than 5/2 each, Jacksonville I can see getting toasted but TB arent a bad shot. I'll have a better look tomorrow so you can all laugh when I chuck more cash away.
And what a TERRIBLE monday night football! I wonder if come this year the winner of that division may ignite the row from 2 years ago(?) about wild cards/seedings etc.

| Aye the MNF is terrible this week, but IMO the Monday night games this year have been superb, its the Thursday games that have been poor (thanksgiving games apart) but next week the Mighty Patriots play the Jesters on MNF so ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif) .
I`m a bit annoyed cos I have seen every game we have had in uk this year, including MNF (on the internet for me cos I don`t have ESPN) plus all the Pats games that weren`t on the tv over here and a few of the ends of games that went to overtime, but I may miss next weeks MNF cos of an early Hospital appointment a few hours after the Pats game ![Evil or Very Mad icon_evil.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_evil.gif)

Mine is Steve " Air" McNair

| I end up watching NFL redzone (somehow ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif) ) only game I end up watching in any comfort is the C4 game, the rest coming on t'interweb. Normally up for Monday night games but thursdays always seems a bit flat when I watch 'em, a personal thing I guess.
Had to think about question but has to be Ed reed, for that one moment of brilliance per game, really sold on me ever
since that pick 6 against Miami a few years ago, really like Ray Lewis and Troy Polamalu too, guess Im a defense man.
I'm gutted that I'll have to miss ravens steelers game in 2 weeks (I think) travelling early Monday morning.
My sleeping patterns are seriously screwed with NFL, Ashes and irregular UFC's once/twice a month too, trying to work on 3 hours sleep is horrible. Used to go to college still tonked after 2 hours sleep, god knows how I managed it.

A superb QB and missed by all who knew him. One of my faves too but I am biased.
My favourite player since I started watching is Peyton Manning.

I use Paddy Power. Made a nice steady profit this season. Yet to have a look at this weeks betting but it's generally safe to go against Carolina on the handicaps. Ravens were a daft -10 last week against a team playing their 4th choice RB and a QB they picked up off the street.
Which console you on mate? I commission an online franchise that I could look to get you in on. Online franchises are brilliant apart from EA's epically e servers.
