I used to love watch Gary Mac taking corners & freekicks, he used to float them in. Stevie tries to send them in with whip and pace. It doesn't work.

May seem a strange suggestion, but I remember last year in the league cup when we got battered by Spurs, Babel was taking the corners from the left and he actually took them well. He was fizzing them in at a good height right in the danger area, I think we scored from a set piece that game and came close from a few others.

In all honesty, we don't attack set pieces very well anyway, if it's not Torres at the near post then we generally don't score from them IMO. It's an aspect of Rafa's management I thought he'd have us well improved at, but we generally don't attack the ball very well and when we do it usually ends up in the stand. Gerrard isn't good at set pieces, but the team don't attack them very well, either.

Torres has never had a season like Rooney. I told you all a few years back Rooney was the main man at United, even when Ronaldo was there. I think Rooney has passed Torres now, he can do it all. I don't think he has a weakness.
