| Crowborough Athletic 0 Dulwich Hamlet 7.
We just about held onto third place on goal difference with Cray Wanderers winning 8-1 at Corinthian-Casuals. We're two points closer to leaders Kingstonian and still have to play them twice.

My mate went and said there were a few minor scuffles outside a pub, but generally the Police had it under control. He and the other FCUM fans who gathered in The Station pub were given an escort to the ground by the Police and their barking mad dogs.
Guiseley's last minute equaliser was a cracker by all accounts.

| No real mither at all in Guiseley, a group of Leeds between 40 and 60 strong (depending on who you listen to, I was in the Station pub watching them all walk past with the hoods up trying to cover their faces, sad tw*ts!) showed up, seemingly with the intention of a bit of dancing. There wasn't much more than a bit of bravado, shouting, gesturing and a bit of running around until the police moved in and cleared them off. They went in the ground and f*cked off at half time. That was it.
On the pitch, it wasn't a bad game. Fairly even and a point there was a good result, however we should have won it really. To go in front late on and then gift them the equaliser... Well. Alright, it was a fantastic goal, an excellent strike from range, but we should've had the ball away easily just before.
Ho hum. We'll have to beat Eastwood tomorrow night instead. ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)

Basically what my mate said. Although, he said he saw a couple of very minor scuffles, which was more like year 6 playground stuff.

It certainly sounds like a good game from what I've heard. I just wish I had gone back home for the weekend, Guiseley is only 5 minutes away from my mums house. The form they've been in this season a draw would have been a good result, but the way the game panned out with the late goal, it should've been a victory really.

You have a point after last night. Full day's worth of work, down to Cambridge, utterly dire performance, even if it was just 1-0 and we scored for them. And home at 1am, only to be up again 6 hours later for work again. Why oh why oh why do I bother? (that's a rhetorical question, by the way, but you lot will probably come up with a range of answers anyway)

| Colin Walker sacked. Denis Smith the hot favourite, but with John Ward out of a job at the moment, he'd be my pick.
I'm sorry to see Walker go. I quite enjoyed working with him as he's a personable chap, but results haven't been good lately. Not for a side who have designs on regaining league status.

Welcome to our world - if our Lancs Cup game with Atherton goes ahead at the eighth attempt on Monday, it'll be our first game in exactly a calendar month.

| Drove over to Barrow last night. Freezing cold, pishing it down all night. Dire game, got beat 3-1 by a bunch of part-timers with a 41-year old running their midfield. And then I got caught speeding on the way home... ![Evil or Very Mad icon_evil.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_evil.gif)

Not heard of anything other than the FCUM game so far, so I'd make this one if I were you.

In fairness, it's been coming. The club has grown too quickly over the past five years or so and, like it has with so many others, it's come back to bite us on the booty.
Playing in the Conference last year was great but it was obvious to anyone that came to the Nest that we were well out of our depth both on and off the field, save for a few excellent results (Torquay away and Cambridge at home to name but two).
The club tried to build a promotion-worthy team this year to get back up and performances obviously haven't justified the investment in the team (not that it would have saved us from HMRC). Last week we lost two key players to Bradford PA; James Knowles (better offer) and Andy Campbell (not been paid for 6 weeks).
The main financial backer came off the board earlier this year, only to rejoin it this week and this season and IMO, the people that were left on the board in the interim were up to the task. As for crowds, anything more than about 350 through the gate is seen as an achievement.
We'll see how it goes. I'm not hopeful but then again, I'm the pessimistic type.
