But then again who in the other 30 players there would do better, King or Wade possibly but Taylor is so far ahead he has to have a real off day to go out of a tournament (or even be pushed far enough to have to find an extra gear).

He has been a revelation and it does not look a flash in the pan as it did when McDine and Shepherd had great runs in tournaments a few years back.

Superb victory for The Power. It's strange, but Waites didn't even play bad yet still got stuffed 16-2, still he's had a great week, he should definitely jump over to the PDC next year.

I loved this weeks GSOD it was brilliant, with some awesome matches.

Agree on both points.....it's scary though how good Taylor is and it would be a real surprise if he did not win all the TV/Premier League/Championship Darts titles in 2010.

Superb darts from Taylor, 100+ tournament average again and missed double 12 for a 9 darter to take the match as well. Now Waites has tasted a bit of success and TV exposure. Maybe he'll go full time with the PDC.

Some of them may practice day in and day out and still can't reach up to the next level.

Anyway, Scott Waites is not a full time professional so he can't give his full dedication to practice. However, the likes of Wayne Mardle, Ray Barneveld, Mervyn King etc have no excuse. They are full time professionals.

Had not heard about that but i know the two Jenkins do not like each other...Sky highlighted that when they met earlier in the year at Bolton or Blackpool but I am surprised it got as bad as the report suggests.

Atmosphere in there was brilliant if at times a little intimidating as an Englishman. Especially when Anderson went 4-0 up. Though there were a few comments/ shouts which were a little OTT (as with some of the comments Hankey received in the Grand Slam)
There seemed a resignation after Wade's great comeback that Taylor was going to hammer Thornton and it'd pretty much be game over. And that's how it turned out.
