A better one would be to compare how many chances they've had. That'd be pretty diffcult though.

We came in expecting them to try and bully us, and it ended up being the other way round! Playing cover 1 as a corner, when you've injured their QB in the first 5 plays means that they just run it. Had outside contain all day, and apparantly sent a lineman flying. Will need to check the game film on that one.

Will you be playing Lancaster Bombers? I'll be heading up to watch them a couple of times.
I am itching for January to start now I have finished therapy on my shoulder. Moving out to WR and trying my hand at corner too.

Rodgers is a supremely gifted quarterback and one of the league's top 10, but the best have this in their locker. It will come in time as you have to remember he is basically in his 3rd season. No doubt you'll quote me on this later in the year if i'm wrong. ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif) I think we'll be between 11-5 and 9-7 (probably the latter at the minute).
Like I say we aren't far away and assuming we get our players back (One of the key issues yesterday was pass rush. Clay Matthews out meant we had none. Tauscher out meant we couldn't stop Wake) we can be very good. We've only lost by a total of 9 points.

So you'd blame our defeat against Washington on Rodgers even though Crosby missed the FG at the death?

Nope, our fixtures this year are
Can go 6-2 I think, or if we play like yesterday on D, we could do even better.

I said it wasn't Rodgers' fault we lost the last two games.
You said " The QB is responsible, just like they are when they get praised for leading their teams to comeback wins and game winning drives".
I then said " It isn't just as simple as win and the QB is praised. Lose and it is his fault."
You said "It really is though most of the time, nobody remembers injuries/ bad play from other positions very often but QB`s are always remembered for there ability/non ability to make game winning comebacks/ get them into position for winning FG`s.
Its a QB`s league with all the praise they get, deserved more often than not they have to come in for stick sometimes too"
So that means that Rodgers is blamed for not leading the comeback versus Washington surely?
You even said nobody remebers injures/bad play but QB's are remembered for non ability to make game winning comebacks.
Ergo nobody remembers Crosby missing the field goal and the QB (Rodgers) is remembered for not making the comeback.
I'm not arguing the case for Rodgers particularly just trying to understand your logic. What you've said reads that Brady leads a 95 yard drive with 1 minute left. Gotskowski misses the FG and it is Brady's fault?

| Can't believe I'm standing up for Conroy again but this Rodgers bashing is getting a bit silly. To put their poor start to the season squarely on Rodgers is daft IMO. He's a good QB and getting better. Crosby missing a FG isn't Rodgers fault. Rodgers has kept his team in the game the last 2 weeks.

| Just looked at Kurt Warners 4th quarter comebacks. Only had 14 all career. Does that mean he couldn't get it done when it matters? If you think that then you are a moron!

No, he was just so good that he never needed to come back in the 4th quarter as his teams were always winning
I think people on here know full well how good Rodgers is. My thoughts are that they sometimes get slightly exasperated with Conroy's Packer bias and penchant for exaggeration over all things Green Bay that they like to wind him up. All in good fun though ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)

Probably because they blew most teams away "the greatest show on turf".
It's fun making Conroy type essays. In all fairness it's very harsh to blame Rodgers, he is the reason they're still in most games due to their injury problems. You also can't blame a kicker for missing a 53 yarder, hardly a chip shot. The record of him being 0-5 in OT show's that he hasn't done the job in overtime. That's not having a pop at him that's simply stating fact. The last 3 times 1, Fumbled for a touchdown 2. Threw a pick 3. Failed to move his team down the field.

Nobody's questioning that. I know Eli isn't as good and he's very good in clutch situations. Just saying that Rodgers doesn't, that isn't an opinion it's fact.

Not questioning that. Though I think Rodgers has proved, in my eyes at least, he is getting that clutch ability over the last couple of weeks. He's a hell of a lot further along in his development than Eli, IMO, just Eli had that team of destiny Giants the other year.
If he continues his development at his current rate I think we could see a HOF career from Rodgers. Bradford as well ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)

Eli's a good steady 15 year career type QB but he sin't going to put a team on his back and carry them like a Brady, Peyton and Brees can.

Looking good so far. Great to finally see a defensive line getting pressure and not just one player getting sacks (like with Leonard Little for the last 4 or so years). Considering we're still several pieces short of where we want and need to be, the defense is looking very good in terms of its progression.
The game against the Bucs should be a cracker this weekend. I feared for the worst for the rest of the season but we showed balls coming back from such a woeful effort and winning against San Diego.
It's good to feel like I can actually enjoy Rams games again rather than just watching them out of duty and only enjoying the other games I watch ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

I have never once "bashed" Rodgers I was talking about QB`s in general, the debate started with Rodgers sure but I dont think anyone has said hes a bad QB, hes certainly not a bad QB. We are merely comparing the 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives and saying he needs to be able to do that with time to become a better QB ![Smile icon_smile.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_smile.gif)

Heard about that before, havent seen it but it sounds similar to what happened to the Bills TE Kevin Everett a few seasons ago
FWIR Everett made a good recovery hopefully he will do the same!!
