He's picked a classy opponent aswell. I'm not sure how well he'll go up in weight, but Marquez is one of the most skillful boxers out there. Even though Floyd is an awesome boxer, I think he'll get a bit of joy breaking his defences down as he throws quick and with variety.

I still think Fkloyd will win on points though.

I was not keen on him but my opinion changed on him. Think he is great and love the way he spouts his mouth off at times. He is quite funny

If he does fair play to him, Marquez is one tough cookie. Unlike Hatton, he took all of Pacquiao's best shots and fired back.

=whiteMayweather was too comfortable. Marquez didn't get a clean shot all fight. It wasn't an embarrassment but Mayweather is in a different class, although using the word class around someone who mocks his opponents so unnecessarily is unfortunate.

And that whole act at the end was straight out of WWE. Shameful.

I aint a fan of boxing but watched it for the sake of it, and apart from his undoubted talents, he's a bit of a pr!ck and all the events and talking around the fight is just a bit sad and unnescessary...ironicly, he's the kinda person you really wanna smack, but obviously no one can get near him to do so haha

No doubt he'll fight Pacquaio/Cotto shortly and maybe Mosley aswell. Mosley on his day could cause problems, but I'd still back Mayweather everytime.

Say what you like about The money man, but he is awesome. Marquez was always going to be a fight he would win, especially at that weight.

If he can win his next few fights (probably against Cotto, Pac, and Mosley) then he would probably be ranked as one of the best 7 or 8 fighters ever.

I hope so as he is the only person who could compete with Floyd imo. At least at this weight.

Mayweather will put Mosely away no problem. He's just too fast. In the fight on Saturday there were times when Marquez had him in the corner and he still couldn't get anywher near him.

Who do you rate better than him at present?, I'm just asking because i have an Interest in Boxing but have never been an avid fan. I think Mayweather is already on his way to being classed as being one of the greatest [i(Just My Personal Opinion)[/i i mean Six World Boxing Championships in Five Different Weight Classes means you are quite Phenomenal and the way he looks so at ease in a boxing ring is unbelievable i like everything about the guy, Agreed though to take out 2/3 of the names mentioned then he'd definitely be in the Top 10 IMO...

The problem I see is Pacquaio has the speed, but is he big enough? I think he could potentially cause problems as he has more power than Marquez, but like Marquez his best weight is 130-135lbs.

Mosley is the right size and if he nails Mayweather he could knock him out, but he's not quick enough for me.

For me Mayweather, as boring as he is to watch at times, is brilliant and I just can#t see anyone beating him.

How can you seriously say Mayweather is boring???...

.....His only fault is that he is simply too good for his often outclassed opponent, thus turning the bout into a one-sided affair, which I suppose then strips the fight of its excitement.

Boring though, he isn't. The guy is pure boxing, he has perfected the art of defence to a tee and some of his combinations are a joy to watch.

There is simply nobody out there who can beat him...Pacquaio, though a top fighter, would simply be chasing shadows and probably wouldn't have the power to dent Mayweather's defences.

It may sound odd, but for a more even contest, I'd like to see Cotto take on Mayweather rather than Pacman....Cotto is more Mayweather's weight equal, something Pacquaio and Marquez aren't....Mayweather would still win, but I just feel Cotto would pose more of a threat.
