Milan more or less need a new team. The core of a good team is there; Gattuso, Pirlo and 'dinho in midfield and Pato up front but other than a complete overhaul is required.

I don't think Perez was doing to badly with transfers for the first part of his reign. It all started to go wrong when he changed the policy of signing a world class player every summer, and bought Beckham instead of Ronaldinho.

Which played it's part in the toothy one going to the Camp Nou rather than Old Trafford.
