Top top bloke and on his day still top class, carrying it through a tournament is a problem but I'd love him to be in the Premier League as his farewell tour as he would do far better than Klassen or Mardle did this year and with the once a week format could well make the Finals Day.
The draw would play into his hands too as he is so steady over 14 legs he would be very hard to beat.

You are not wrong.
Think Anderson will learn from it as I think he played into Lewis's hands a bit making a spat from nothing but I was impressed with Adies interview afterwards as it was like hearing a mini Taylor with the cockiness gone and being very honest and level headed.
He seems to have taken things to the next level since becoming a dad but how he will cope against his mentor on Friday will really show how far he has come and if he is going to be knocking around the lower reaches of the Top 10 or pushing the likes of Part and Jenkins out of the way as he heads upwards.

| Has Lewis ever actually beaten Taylor when it's mattered in a decent sized tournament?
Any chance of him doing anything other than roll over for his tummy tickling this time around either?
Still, be nice to see the whiny f*cker get his backside handed to him.

He's beaten him 4 times in Players Championship events but never on TV.

Lewis.
At least Taylor has made some sort of effort (the spat with Mervyn King aside) to rein in his cockyness on the oche and in interviews.
Lewis still swaggers around like the younger brother of the kid who is c0ck of the school, without ever really having done anything to earn the right.

I tend to agree with you that's why I said earlier I was impressed how he came across in his interview as 6 months ago he would have been hyped up and giving it the big I am but I thought he came over far more mature than he ever has before.

| Great match to watch last night. Shame it was only best of 5 sets.
Think a good World Champs and Anderson will be shoe-in for the Premier League.
King v Hamilton and Priestly v Painter should be good uns tonight

I make you right though as soon as Anderson moved I think he was pencilled in for the Premier League.
Think Anderson could have a run in the Grand Slam again as he has done well there both years.
Hamilton will not want to let Lewis get too far ahead of him in the quest to be the 2nd best stokie so I can see him playing well tonight (though King on form should just shade it) and I hope I am wrong but fear it will be after the lord mayors show for Priestly and Painter could win easily.

The war continues.'"
No surprise really and to be fair if the BDO makes a profit that is all that really counts as it is a governing body for the whole sport (bar the 300 odd players in the PDC), and if it is doing its job within the finance available to it I am not surprised they said no.
The BDO do need to change how they operate in truth but the fact people like Mark Wallace are only 73rd in the world after moving over might make people stay with the BDO until they are really sure they have the game to compete in the PDC.

As long as the BDO keep their heads above water I make you right (and as long as the BBC want to show the Lakeside Championship I think they will manage that).

Going Saturday and Sunday Afternoon
No great matches jump out on Saturday (Osbourne v Lloyd the probable pick) but Sunday could have a few close games and think Mardle is up against it v Whitlock and fancy the all BDO clash could see Waites beat Hankey.
Sloppy starters Lewis and Anderson could also have problems against players who have done well in Wolverhampton before.

| Anyone found Ted Hanky's dummy that he spat out at The Civic????
And as for Anastasia that has to be one of the sporting highlights of the year and very well deserved (raising her game to that level week in week out now has to be her aim but fair play to her for getting one hoodoo off her back),
