The only reason he's in contention this year is because he's lead a load of misfits to the verge of the playoffs. People like Blair White and Jacob Tamme would have seen barely any action all year, Manning has made them look like decent NFL players this year!
He's carried the entire Colts offence on his own!

Don't bother mate. The Pats fans say they don't care about the MVP awards etc because they win Superbowls but duly go on and on about Manning all the time. Cancel the award for the next few years, it's got Bradford written all over it

MVP is a nothing award really though isn't it? What's so great about an award for one person on the team when there's a Lombardi to be won.

Misfits like Benjarvus Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead? both QB's are great and can make any receiving corp look good.

Why do you and LFC continually bang on about it and Manning's victories then? It's not a nothing award. It is terribly biased towards QB's but it's still a hell of an achievement. Has Peyton Manning deserved all his victories, probably not but it's a QB league and he's a very popular player. Ray Lewis should have won it the season the Ravens won the SB but he was overlooked as he's a defensive player.
Nothing award, no. Poorly awarded, yes. It might as well be most valuable QB.

Which is why OPOTY and DPOTY are better suited awards imo, the MVP should be renamed something else and used exclusively for QB's, putting it on par with and leaving OPOTY and DPOTY for the outstanding seasons of other players who don't get the recognition deserved with the MVP award.

| Quote ="Harrigan"[size=150[u=#FF0000Some stats that may surprise you about the young Bucs:[/u[/size
- The Bucs are the 7th ranked rushing offense in the league
- Caddilac was our starting RB from weeks 1-7... we averaged 82.9 ypg (Half of which came from Graham and Freeman)
- Legarette Blount took over in week 8... we now average 148.5 ypg
- Blount has only started 7 games but has run for 941 yards averaging 5.2 ypc
- Josh Freeman has thrown the 4th fewest interceptions of all starting quarterbacks in the league (Big Ben, Cassell & Brady being the 3 with less)
- Only TWO quarterbacks in NFL history have had 5 TD/0 INT games before their 23rd birthday. Josh and some bum named Marino
- We are the 1st team since 1970 that has started 10 rookies and had a winning season
- With 924 receiving yards this season, Mike Williams has a shot at passing 1,000. No rookies have done that since Marques Colston
- Williams has also scored 10 TDs. Since the 1970 merger, only two wide receivers in NFL history have had 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns in their rookie year (John Jefferson and Randy Moss).
- We are THE youngest team
Hope you enjoyed
'"
All achieved against awful teams. Don't give me the NFC West argument, they're awful. (watch you beat the Saints sunday now) I know you're a good young team on the rise. But your schedule has padded your numbers slightly.

Dunno, but apparently loads of people betting on Carolina upsetting the Falcons.

I doubt they will.
They could still get the #1 seed. If Atlanta lose to Carolina and Tampa beat New Orleans in the 6pm games and Chicago beat us they would be #1. Either way they will know what they need to do before they play us at 9:15, so i don't see how anybody can predict if they will rest/pull their starters.
I'm not good with odds but i assume +10 means they expect us to win by 10 or more? That is ridiculous odds in our favour.

| Looks like the Seahawks can't decide whether to start with Hasselbeck or Whitehurst for the crunch game against the Rams.
Having practised all week with Whitehurst it will be a real knock to his confidence if Pete Carroll puts a patched up Q.B on at the start. I understand Hasselbeck's experience but he is past his best now, maybe a loss against the Rams would put them in a better position to pick up a decent Q.B in the draft.

Again though. We were ranked 30th in the league last year. We have added any experience this year. Just good kids or guys who have been unwanted by other teams. I can guarantee you at the start of the season every team we have beat will have expected to beat us.
Oh btw you do realise ATL and New Orleans have had the same schedule as us bar 2 games don't you and that we are on the same rotation? Just as Carolina have. So we have all played 14 identical games. Neither of those deserve a play off place either obviously.
Oh and one last thing. If we do beat the Saints tomorrow and things do go our way the NFC South will take half the play off births. Kinda sucky for NY, Green Bay isn't it

And if we beat the Saints today we will have too. We have been within a score of every "good" team that has beaten us since Blount came in. It's not like we've been blown out. The signs are there. We just need to push on. And had Talib not been injured against ATL we would have beaten them because he had shut White out in that game. It's only when he went off that they started to get a bit of momentum going.
Anyway, I like the Giants vendetta against us on here
I think it shows you're a tad nervous about tonight

Not a vendetta, just stating fact.I think it's refeshing to see a team rise using mainly the draft. Not nervous at all, I know the Packers will win.

| Thinking of getting Sky Sports for the playoffs (I'm with Virgin Media). Anyone know if you can just subscribe for one or two months and get rid or do you have to sign up for a minimum period.
