Has Taylor ever played worse and won a final??? Dolan was obviously a bit overwelmed by the occassion but what was Taylor's excuse.

Probably underwelmed and he looked ill to me during part of the game. Thought the match was boring to be honest.

I don't think he had, none that I can remember anyway. I think Taylor's night was summed up by the leg where he took 11 darts to get a double, had he played Wade we might well have been looking at a different result. I though Dolan played well for the most part, his biggest issue was starting off after he'd broken Taylor's throw, could never seem to capitalise.

Think even Taylor is allowed an off day.Admittedly his game was well off,and if Dolan had taken his chances who knows?
If he had played as he did against Wade I reckon he would have done it.

I don`t know if Wade was affected by the crowd.I know people say you should shut it out,but it must be hard when you get booed every time you go to the oche.

Fair comment and perhaps if he had faced a player like Wade or Barney in good form he would have raised his game I guess his off day made it a better final and we should be grateful it was not a 6-0 in no time job and Dolan had a few glory moments along the way.

Is ITV still showing GSOD or is it switch over to Sky as was the rumour last year ?

Jan Dekker is my new hero. Mr Coat is the best nickname ever and he actually comes out in a fantastic jacket aswell. Brilliant.

Seems Sky want Hankey in the Premier League, think the like of Newton, Nicholson and Webster will be fuming if they miss out to let him in.

I'd love Hankey in the PDC and the Premier League, he's a big character and a good player too. Personally I'd like to see him ahead of Nicholson and Webster anyway, Nicholson because he needs to learn to play consistently before he gets in not just on the back of acting up and Webster because he's had his chance recently and was poor for more or less the whole tournament.

Only just got my internet back up and running since Friday and I've been impressed with the GSOD so far, it's looking like a it'll be a good tournament again this year.

If Hankey does join the PDC I hope he doesn`t blow it.

I can not see Hankey leaving the BDO but I can see Sky trying to get him into the Premier League whilst keeping his "other side" status, I think that is what will cause constanation with the PDC players.

To be honest he would do no better than Webster did as his best years are behind him and people need to remember his first game not the fact he beat Barney who is another we may never see the best of again.

It's been a good tournament so far and should get better as the week goes on.

Reckon Lewis is a good bet to win, although I wouldn`t mind Wade doing it.

I don't think he will leave the BDO now, he has that loyalty like a lot of the older players have. I think he would do better than Webster, infact I think he'd hold his own quite well, he's a very good player. Did you see Dave Clark ask Dean Winstanley last night about moving over? He was very cagey about his answer.

I watched the darts the other night with the Dutch kid demolishing the favourite (And then going to pieces on the last double).

Inspired me to get the darts out again. I got my first 180 ever, followed it with a 140 and a 100. Then took me about an hour to get the remaining 81 though.

Anderson was on fire, Wade dispatchced easily.

True unfortunatly,thought this game was going to be really close,but give Anderson his due,he was tremendous.

One down ,one to go.Still fancy Lewis to do it.

Taylor looks very good at the moment can see the semis and finals being great darts.

I wonder what Martin Adams must be sitting there thinking now, he's seen a good number of his BDO rivals compete with the PDC players in a tournament like they never see. There brilliant money, publicity and most important, experience up for grabs this week. I was never a big Dean Winstanley fan but after this week I'll be backing him to win Lakeside, I've got no doubt he's improved no end as a player after this week and I don't think it'll be long before we see a few more players defecting over. Taylor called out Hankey this week and Dave Clark asked Winstanley would he ever join PDC and he didn't deny it but was very cagey about how he answered. If he wins Lakeside this year we could see him move over. As for Adams, he's number 1 BDO player for a reason and he's constantly bad mouthing the PDC but once again he's proved he must have reservations about taking on the best in the world. As Bristow pointed out, they have two tele tournaments a year on TV and chase round to Finland and Sweden to pick up tiny pots of money that'd probably cost them more to go out there and compete.

As for GSOD this week another brilliant, brilliant tournament. We've been treated to another Taylor masterclass and unsurprisingly the longer the week went on, and the longer the matches were, they better he got. He was unstoppable today, he trounced Lewis and Anderson, two of the best players in the world. Stand out performances from Mark Walsh and Dean Winstanley too. Hankey impressed again, especially when he stumbled off the oche, I just hope we can see the best of Barney again, he's too good to carry on like this surely. John Part showed signs of coming back to his best again too, another god run but after another impressive week of darts there's only one conclusion for me - Taylor is going to be world champion 2012! I can't see who'll stop him and he's so determined. It's a privilege to be able to watch the man play at this level, to be 51 and still as dominant now as he ever has been, when the competition is getting better and better, is phenomenal.

Taylor was a league above everyone yesterday. Fantastic arrows.

Love him or hate him,no one can live with him on that form.People moan about commentators having a Taylor love fest,but with that type of fantastic darts who can blame them??
