Mejala in the 3.35 was the other that caught my eye, won very nicely last time and looks a progressive animal, wide open though is this race, Chapple-Hyam's could be anything, Stoute's looks a big danger and Mrs Beeton would have been carrying my money if Swinburn's horses had been running better than they are at present. Will have a few quid e/w on Mejala though.

Tried to put an Ashes 1st test double on at Bet Fred yesterday and they wouldn't let me.

I wanted Ravi Bopara as top run scorer and an England victory double.

They said they can not do that because it is a related bet. ie, if an England batsman is the top run scorer then it is likely England may well win the game......to which I said it is only like a first goalscorer and correct result double in a football game which they always pay out on. They disagreed

You can't have a first goal scorer and correct score double in any bookies. The odds they offer for Gerrard to score first and Liverpool to win are different to the odds of doing a seperate double. The X to score and X to win are adjusted specials.
