| Quote ="Sthelens RLFC"If you were nearer the ball, it must have smacked you in the face. I beg you to rewatch him get the ball, listen to the commentators say that he is unlucky as he "won the ball" and then come back. I'd debate the next part as well as your eyesight must clearly be failing.
BTW, in the ref's face?! About a metre away if you look at the picture.
Like I said earlier on, if he had just accepted the decision I'd be more worried. Nothing wrong with giving the ref some if he gets it wrong. If he gets done for it, so be it. Showing some passion for your team is fine by me.'"
I've seen it a good three or four times (as well as the goal ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif) ). On the ground I did think he won the ball. When i've seen it again he didn't. Ok he didn't shove his fingers in the refs face but the gesture was certainly towards the official.

According to F365 he's getting away with it.
I haven't seen the incident, but for me if he did stick v's at a ref when he's already been booked it is an absolute joke that he's got off with it. Contrast the way this has been ignored with the way that Ashley Cole was vilified when he had a go at Riley.
I guess though that now that the England captain and vice-captain wear red shirts the positions come with Shearer-type leniency.

By this i mean instead of giving one club 30 days to pay it off, one club 50 days to pay it off they should make a consistant decision instead of just picking random numbers out of anywhere

I agree. I also think that there should only be one shoe size available, and one size of clothes for everyone. Just think of all the waste that having different sizes of everything. In this resource-conscious time, we really should be looking to one-size-fits-all clothing.

Farsley look like they are going to be following them out of business. Going to play havoc with promotion/relegation with the BSP and especially BSN. My understanding is that only one team is probably going to end up getting relegated from the BSN as Chester would have dropped into the division and Farsley will be out effectively reducing the division to 20 teams going into next season.

| I must admit, I think Liverpool need a clear out.
For me, both wings are a problem. Kuyt, Maxi, Babel and Benayoun are all good players, but are not the answer. Ideally, Kuyt would be something of a squad man, as would Benayoun. I think we could get a price for Babel, which is unfortunate as he will probably produce great things if he gets an extended run somewhere. Maxi is a player short of confidence and cannot really be judged yet.
I think Lierpool's defence is decent. I rate Insua, who will develop into a really good player. Aurelio is on his way, so we need cover. Johnson has the cover of Kelly and Darby, who are also promising. Degen should be let go to free some cash. With Carragher a year older, Rafa needs to look for a replacement. It'd be costly, but I'd look at Shawcross again. It's a shame the Yanks wouldn't free up some funds for him to be signed last summer, as Stoke will double his transfer fee now.
We definately need another striker of the top bracket. Someone who can partner Torres and someone who can replace Torres.
Jovanovic (sp?) from Liege is rumoured to be on his way, and reports on him suggest he's more of a link-up player than a centre forward. I'd go looking for a proper targetman. And not Heskey preferably.

Southend and Cardiff have obviously shown that they can get the money required within the time period set. Chester couldn't, mainly because the fans wanted them to go under.

| 9/1 for Beckham to score anytime tonight, not bad odds considering Carrick (suspended) is 8/1 and Hargreaves (injured/ineligible) is 7/1.
I can just see Beckham coming on to score and knock us out of the competition. ![Sad icon_sad.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_sad.gif)

Mate, I agree with alot of what you say but Insua has been gash and gets a good going over by every decent right sided player he comes up against. Insomnia ripped him a new one on Monday night. He may turn into a good player but a fully fit Aurelio is a much better option.
Agree about Shawcross. Hopefully Agger can stay fit though as of all the centre backs we have, he's the most likely to progress into a top class CB.

Insua is far from the finished article, agreed. He has a lot to learn when defending and at present, I'd prefer a fully fit Aurelio. But Aurelio is too injury prone and won't be around for much longer one would think. Insua is a fantastic attacking full-back. I think in a year or two, he'll be among the best in the PL.
I think Agger and Skrtel are both good players in their own right, by the way. Skrtel was fantastic last season (apart from at right-back at Boro) and is starting to get things right again. To be honest, I'm less convinced by Agger. He's a footballer, not so much a centre-half imo. Always thought he had the tools to be a good left-back or sitting midfielder. If Agger is going to be our first choice defender for the years to come, we need to pair him with someone who is a real old fashioned centre-back.

Yes, but everton fans realise they are medicore. The best liverpool fans can do, when they finally realise their team isnt a patch on Chelsea, United and Arsenal is resort to comparing themselves to everton.

The players are probably on fixed contracts which none of them will negotiate. PFC have to honour those contracts.

Its a bit crap for them though considering some of them only earn in a year what most of the players would do in a few days!
