I don't think it's so much people hate him but are just annoyed by his Taylor love in commentary, regardless of that I'm certain we'll all wish him a speedy recovery.

Looking ahead to next week who do we fancy for the Grand Prix? I can't really see passed Taylor myself but Lewis, Wade and Anderson have to be considered with their ability on the double in. It's nice to have some darts back after an abscence on TV, hopefully we'll get a good discussion going on here from Monday.

Taylor has to be strong favourite,although for me I would like to see Wade do it.

I think about 4 John Part's turned up tonight, he was awful to start with and struggled to get going early on but you've got to admire him for the way he just didn't give in. Second half of the match he was much much improved. Well played JP

Could really kick on after this with Dolan next he really should get past him and then it is game on.


The Grand Slam should be suited to him too with his great short game Players Championship form at the minute and after looking as though his career as a top pro was going the same way as Manley, Mardle etc after losing in the World Championship last season it would be great to see him go a long way in both events.

On at big odds for him in the Worlds so would love him to set a marker for that by showing he can kick on and win a major.

For instance,Wade always rolls the dart up his thumb before releasing.Monk opens his mouth everytime he throws.

I don't know why but Monk really annoys me when he throws, can't stand it when he opens his mouth to throw.

On tonight's action a brilliant performance by Andy Smith, played really well. I know Barney didn't perform but to knock these top players out you not only need to play well but they need to be slightly off colour too. Wade pushed very close by Van der Voort.

Thought my money on Wade was going out of the window,great game by both players.One of those when it is a shame there is a loser.

Now Taylor's said in his post match interview Nicholson must be in the Premier League you watch him be handed a wildcard. I don't see why all the Sky team are saying he should be in it, he's not good enough yet. He'll struggle to make the 4 IMO. There's players like Newton and Webster much more deserving of a place than Nicholson, better and more consistent players.

Think we'll be seeing a Taylor v Wade final Sunday unless Webster pulls another big game out of the bag tomorrow.

That was a night of darts I didn't expect, Brendan Dolan hitting a 9 darter and then beating James Wade comfortably. I did expect a Wade/Taylor final but not it'll be a comfortable Taylor win without any sort of opposition.
