At least United, Liverpool and Chelsea are now equal for the next 16 months.

Having a step-father, who was an important part of my upbringing, supporting Spurs, I adopted them as 'second favourite' of sorts.

My dislike of Spurs started to develop when I moved down here. Spurs fans really are unbearable. With the exception of the missus, of course.

The missus knows that my issue with Spurs, relates to the fans, and the Twitcher, but then she has a strong dislike for him too.

Do you guys really think Lescott is worth £24m?

No. But then again, when you have billions burning a hole in your pocket, you might as well spend what it takes to get your man.



To be honest, I'm not so sure he is better than Onuoha, in many ways, but Lescott offers us something we hadn't got and that's the fact that he is a left footed defender, giving us that all important balance, and he is better in the air than our other options.

If we'd already had one of those defenders, I wouldn't have expected us to have offered any more than £10 million.

And there's the point people are missing with the City money. Who cares if they've overpaid, it doesn't really matter, they are richer than any of us can comprehend!
