Do I take it that Sky Sports will be showing the NFL this season ? Anyone know at all ?

Quite chuffed with the Raiders last night, only a 3-0 loss to a team who are certain they'll be in the playoffs? I'll take that. The D looked very good, offence needs a bit of work.

I'd assume that Sky will still have it, I'll get my now coworker (I'm now assisting running the website for Britain's #3 American Football site) to ask Neil Reynolds or Kevin Cadle though.

It's the first game of the pre-season. Means absolutely nothing.

It's better than what I was expecting though, the scheme was working. It's all about schemes not players.

A lot of teams don't like showing their hands in the preseason, so even the plays called can be misleading. Given the fact that the Rams finished 4-0 last season and obviously the Lions went 4-0 in their 0-16 season, I've learnt to not take it seriously now!

Has the fantasy league been sorted for this year yet?

Just watched the Raiders game again, we look so much better than last year already. I know it's only preseason, but players seem to want to play better under the new regime. The run D in particular was infinitely better.

Terrelle Pryor also looked pretty good.

Absolutely surreal incident happened during our match on Sunday, which I'm only able to talk about now.

During the 4th quarter, one of their linemen headed off to the sideline and got in some form of confrontation with one of the coaches. Apparently the player took a swing at the coach, who flattened him, then proceeded to apply a chokehold to the guy on the floor and stamp on his back. We were all stood around thinking "What the hell is going on?" and the refs didn't do a thing, because they didn't see the original incident. After the game, we never saw the lineman, and the coach was with the players in the bar, acting completely normally.

Reports later surfaced that the coach who did it, was serving the last game of a year suspension from playing, due to fighting. The league have begun a full investigation, and according to GridironTV, the guy has been sacked from Edinburgh with immediate effect.

Would that be the same Terrelle Pryor who said he played like "dog "?

Much better performance last night, the starting D is going to be nasty this year. Kolb was crapping himself every time he dropped back to pass. Wheeler looks like a good find at LB, the young RB (forgot his name, think he was wearing 46) could be the replacement for Bush.

Palmer needs to get the timing down with his receivers, 4 or 5 TD passes that were thrown to the wrong place or dropped because of the bad pass. Special teams coverage definitely needs work.

Only 4 penalties against us as well, that's a huge difference.

You have major to problems with your team if not scoring a single point is reason to be chuffed. Pre-season means nothing at all.

Raiders are pants though - bottom of the division calibre team.

Only teams I can see making a move for Jackson are Arizona (Seahawks will overcharge them) or possibly Jacksonville, depending on Gabbert's preseason.

The Jags are gonna be taking over from the Rams and hosting 1 home game per year for 4 years from 2013, can see another Patriots game in London then seeing as we seem to play them quite often

They don't spend as much time on the football one so it doesn't go into the same amount of detail but it's still pretty exhaustive, enjoyable and free. What a game. We were frankly terrible in the first half, the pause for the storm stopped their momentum and we made a few changes, and they really paid off. Overheard someone say it's one of the greatest Britbowl finals ever, was chuffed to bits at that. We missed the Field Goal with 1 second remaining after, sending us to Overtime, great blocking from the line won us the game.

Final score: Sheffield 39 - 33 Peterborough
