| Quote ="ST_CONROY"Very good victory for us last night.
You guys just looked completely mentally gone, Eli didn't even look interested. While our D was great the INT's were pretty routine when you can get a team one dimensional like we did (although Shields was never an INT and i didn't think it was at the time). The fumbles were just excellent play by Clay and C-Wood. Matthews never gives up and Woodson just goes for the ball.
Rodgers performed excellently and could do anything. You pressed and we went over the top. You backed off and gave us the slants.
Hopefully we can sneak in to the play-offs. Maybe we can make an impact but we are so up and down that i'm not fully confident of us doing anything spectacular.
You reckon Coughlin will keep his job?'"
Coughlin ain't the problem. It's kevin Gilbride and his conservative playcalling. Eli never has many options in the passing game. As you seen on sunday, we have the ability to go downfield but it's very rarely used, we never go empty backfield. It's a joke.

Personally No.
He's a decent RB and this season shows how much we could do with a very good back-up. However I dislike him and I don't think his style of running game fits with us. We have Kuhn for short yardage stuff and Grant and Starks (from next year) who have both speed and decent power, a much better fit for the way we play offence.
I'd be OK if he came but not somebody i'd actively go after.

| Pro Bowl squads announced before long, who do you think your club will have in?
According to Jim Irsay we have 4 selected. I'd hazard a guess at;
Peyton Manning
Reggie Wayne
Dwight Freeney
Jeff Saturday

| Doubt we will have any in the Pro Bowl TBH. Most likely selections would be Jackson, Long or Laurinaitis. Be pretty cool if Bradford could get an outing but I would doubt it.

| Brady,Mayo,McCourty and Wilfork all should have great chances and maybe one of Gronkowski/Hernandez, I know they dont have loads of receptions but they have been TD machines.
Brady should win MVP hands down aswell IMO, but I expect the jailbird to win because he seems to be more popular for some reason

Vick would be the better story and Brady has pretty much admitted he couldn't care less if he wins it.

Thats why I reckon Vick will win it, even though its for most valuable player not most valuable ex-convict, its a popularity contest the same as the pro bowl and the Patriots and Brady are not very popular

| Strange that while everyone is in love with Vick and the Eagles (even though they barely put away a banged-up Colts team, at home, and shocked by the Collie incident), everyone's forgetting the team, and the QB, who are set to be NFC #1.

| I fancy Vick will win the MVP, which I find pretty bad. The guy shouldn't even be allowed to play in the NFL let alone win MVP. Brady would be my pick though.
Clay Matthews should win DPOY by a distance IMO.
Packers Pro-Bowlers could be:
Aaron Rodgers
Greg Jennings
Clay Matthews
Charles Woodson
Tramon Williams
Nick Collins

| Couple of things...
1) This game atm is there for the Vikings, eagles particularly Vick looking a little flat on offense, allen and the front 4 dominating with pressure on vick.
2) MVP easy peasy Brady, whether he wants it or not
3) Why shouldn't Vick be playing? I believe the Judicary system found him guilty, he went to federal prison and then came out. Its not the leagues right (imo) to ban someone for life after hes already being punished by a greater authority. FFS Dante stallworths playing in the league!
If the NFL were truly serious about all the players being true role models etc which they should be, they would increase the punishment for Performance related offences, and the million other NFL players get caught doing each week, drink driving, drugs etc.
Rant over, This game would be very different if the Vikes secondary could catch too

I cannot believe you are still banging on about this.
The United States has a legal system that means that, when people have paid their debt to society, they are allowed to get on with their lives. Michael Vick went to prison and lost, roughly, $100million. By any measure, he paid for what he did. Having done so, he should be allowed to get on with his life. What should he do - hang himself?
I thought you were studying law?
As for MVP, I agree, it should be Brady.

4 out of 6 ain't bad. The most overpaid safety made it as well. Rodgers missed out in favour of Brees..

I think Michael Vick still owes the Atlanta Falcons some money still.

Sky obviously learned their lesson regarding NFL SheisseZone. The two games for this week look good and hopefully it'll be snowing in Green Bay as it won't be the same not seeing a Green Bay home game in the snow.

Yes I am studying law. I'm well aware of how legal systems work and the theories of punishment (consequentialism and retributivism amongst others). My view on Vick has nothing to do with the law, as you say he has succesfully served his sentence, but my morals/ethics.
He has served his sentence (whether it was proportionate to the crime is another question as is whether he has paid for what he did) and should be allowed to re-intergrate into society. No question about that. However that doesn't mean he should walk back into the NFL.
The NFL has a position of power/responsibility/influence which IMO when you commit a crime such as Vick's you should forfeit. You don't automatically walk back into your old job after you've committed a crime so why is the NFL any different? Not only that but is Vick prevented from getting a "normal job"?
The same applies for Stallworth etc IMO. Including Jolly from us. I don't think he should be allowed back in the NFL.
He should be allowed to get on with his life, just not in the NFL. It isn't his right to play in the NFL, it is a privilege which should be taken away from people like him.

| Shock result last night in Philli!
I had the Eagles as genuine superbowl contenders but not after last night! It's proven now by both the Vikes and the Giants that if you consistantly blitz Vick you get all kinds of joy!
