We got a good RB, potentially great Safety and a LB from Nebraska who tore it up in college. I hate saying how good anyone will be though because you just dont know. They could all be bust, they could all be average or we may have one or 2 stars. But we wont know for a few years yet. Should be a competitive Division this year though.

Pleased with our draft. We have the best offence in the NFL so we simply had to focus on fixing the defence. On the NFL.com video we got a B+. I'd agree with that.

Our main issue on defence was helping Clay out rushing the passer. We addressed that with Perry. Worthy will drop into the front 3 and act like Cullen Jenkins did before he left in opening lanes for Clay. Hayward according to Mayock has, after Claiborne, "the best ball skills of any of the corners". He'll factor in the CB rotation and potentially allow us to slide Woodson to safety. After that we got DT depth, a small school safety (much like Nick Collins), another OLB and then finally a back-up tackle and a QB in the 7th.

All these draft grades are useless.I say it every year that a draft shouldn't be graded until at least 3 years after it happens.There should be an archive on NFL.com of years past and the grades the so called experts gave everybody to see how right or wrong they were.

Last year was all about me thinking we could build on the year before. It never happened.

Happy with our draft in terms of what we needed. I don't know much about the college scene outside of syracuse. There was a topic on nfl.com as to whether we had the best receiving core in the league.

It's up there.

Saints last year, but they lost Meachem.
Packers probably have the best of players that aren't widely known that are still good.
Philly with Maclin, Jackson & Avant are pretty good. Celek at TE is no slouch either.

Tony Gonzalez, Roddy White, Julio Jones and Harry Douglas is a decent quartet when we go to our 3-wide packages.

Scott Fujita, Anthony Hargrove, Will Smith, and Jonathan Vilma all suspended without pay after 'bountygate', Vilma apparently all season but don't know about the rest.

Wow shocked when I heard the news, seems to be happening far to often now with ex NFL players.

From what I'v read it seems obvious it's gonna be linked with concussion/depression matter IMO, and this is exactly why I think the commisioner is 100% right to punish people severely for illegal hits to the head, especially in light of the bountygate scandal!

Hargrove is the second Packers player suspended this off season, the first being Mike Neal for substance abuse. According the ST CONROY this mistake by Neal will surely taint their Superbowl win. Terrible scenes..

Hargrove's suspension is nothing to do with us. Maybe we should never have signed him if we knew he had a suspension potentially in the near future. He was nothing but depth anyway. He wouldn't have cracked our front 3 line up. He should definately be cut now.

Mike Neal is an absolute idiot. He should be cut and never play for us again (and has effectively been replaced by Jerel Worthy). The substance abuse penalties in general IMO are too lenient.

That said of course it doesn't taint our SB. He played a magnificant 2 games with 3 tackles, 1 sack and 1 FF during our SB year. The actions of 1 individual doesn't taint a whole team. If the bounty system at New Orleans was just a couple of players organising it themselves then it wouldn't taint the SB they have. The particular facts of the NO case are what means it taints the SB they won IMO (and i'd feel exactly the same if it came out that we had a similar system during our SB year).

We have a great WR corps, the best is debatable, but it's probably top 5.

Jennings is a top 10 reciever. He doesn't have the size of a Fitzgerald/Megatron or the speed of Mike Wallace but he is an excellent route runner and has very good hands.

Jordy Nelson is a great #2. Makes the big catches, deceptively fast.

Driver is losing it now but he's still extremely good at the shorter routes and has great hands.

Jones is the epitome of hot and cold. He can go through streaks where he makes catches that are brilliant and then the next game he drops off and has stone hands. Good #4.

Cobb. Primarily returns at the minute but apparently is being groomed to eventually take over from Driver.

We have signed Jabar Gaffney aswell now, anyone have David Givens/Reche Caldwell and Bethel Johnsons numbers?



I fully expect us to sign Randy Moss when he is cut just before the season starts.....

Somehow Gaffney managed to put up just short of 1000 yards last season!

I don't mind him TBH and think he did well when he was with us last, too many WR's at the moment though, I realise most are here for camp only and not all are gonna make the roster. Hope we hurry up and sign Welker before he misses too much of the off season stuff, he deserves to be paid.

Anything that signals the end of Ochostinko in New England I'm all for



Also Terrell Suggs has torn his achilles playing basketball.
