| Watching my mate's face as the Steelers took DeCastro over Hightower was brilliant.
Seeing another guy's face when the Broncos traded down twice had me laughing. ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

| A bit underwhelmed with the Bears pick. I know he flew up alot of draft boards but people had him in the 3rd or 4th, not late round one. Chandler Jones was still on the board.

| Jones is much the same though. He was a 2nd/3rd round pick not long back.
Nick Perry for us. Nice we are trying to fix the pass rush opposite Clay. He looks a very good prospect
Some strange picks too and plenty of very good talent left.

| I don't watch college football so don't know much about any of the players apart from ones mentioned in the media but it sounds like we have 2 great pass rushers/defensive players.

| Figured i'd take another look at the first round. Here are my views on some of the bad picks:
#3 and #22 - Browns, Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden. Had plenty of ammo to go get RGIII instead they decided to move up 1 spot for an RB (position value is extremely low) and then draft a 29 year old QB who isn't even that exceptional (you could perhaps understand if he had RGIII or Luck skills)
#7 - Tampa, Mark Barron. Well done Tampa, trade down and miss out on conrner that you really wanted/needed.
#8 - Miami, Ryan Tannehill. Could develop into a good QB but it stinks of a panic move. They missed on Peyton and Flynn so drafted this guy.
#14 - Rams, Michael Brockers. I think it was a decent pick but i'm sorry Rams. You have one of the highest paid/most promising QB's (I'm fairly sure I've heard this recently, apologise if i'm wrong) and you refuse to help him. Either get him some protection or get his some weapons before he becomes damaged goods.
#15 - Seahawks, Bruce Irvin. Major reach.
#30 - 49ers, AJ Jenkins. Can't say i'd even heard him discussed as a top reciever and there are others who remain. Reach.
Some of my favourites include:
Packers - I'm not totally sold on Perry (he played largely DE at USC but will be OLB for us) but he fills a big need opposite Clay and apparently is extremely athletic (4.5 40 time, big vertical jump etc but is also quite big weighing 270) which is exactly what we need.
Lions - Riley Reiff. Almost the exact same spot where we got Bulaga two years ago when he fell and he protected Rodgers on our SB run (similarly we got Sherrod when he dropped lat year). Protect your QB (Rams take note!).
Vikings - Matt Kalil. See above.
Chargers - Melvin Ingram. Suprised he lasted so long.

| I'm happy with our pick. We apparently had Brockers above Cox so we got our guy while gaining a 2nd rounder. We didn't panic when went crazy in the top 10. Plenty of playmaking WRs left in Jeffrey, Hill and Randle. Exciting day 2 ahead in which we have numerous options
BTW Conroy have a read of this article [urlhttp://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--rams-get-their-man-michael-brockers--ndash--after-their-first-two-choices-were-drafted.html[/url to understand why the Rams did what we did.

Yeah, I think Brockers will be good but if you really wanted to help Bradford by drafting Richardson/Blackmon you should have a) stayed in your original spot b) traded back up with some of the ammo you got for that spot. Protecting/helping Bradford should be goal number 1. The consistent factor amongst teams at the top end of the draft is they fail to do that for the QB's they have.

Quote Fisher stood up and turned to face three dozen people behind him, a collection of scouts, assistant coaches and other team employees. For a few seconds, the room was hushed.
"It's fourth-and-10," the coach finally said, "and we just got a first down, baby!"
The war room erupted. There were high-fives all around.'"
Love that, so cheesy though
I was disappointed at first that we didn't manage to get Blackmon and didn't get help on the offensive line. Defensive tackle is a need though and along with Long and Quinn we'll hopefully be creating the sort of pressure that makes defensive backs look better than they are. I hope we finally upgrade the weak and strong linebacker positions as well because we've had average to bad players there for years now.
Looking forward to tonight though, three picks ![Very Happy icon_biggrin.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_biggrin.gif)

| Apparently we are interested in trading for Colt McCoy to back up A-Rod.
I think it's a poor idea because he's pants. I'd rather Harrell given a shot or draft a later round prospect (Moore/Wilson). If we go through with it and give anything more 6th/7th I'd be annoyed.

| Alshon Jeffrey in the second for Da Bears. It will be a great pick if he keep's his weight down. I dare Green bay to press our recievers at the line of scrimmage now. Good second round pick from the Packers. They traded up as well.

| Happy to say we are having a fantastic draft (Bengals). The two DT's we have picked have just made our Dline unreal and i'm loving the Zeitler pick in the first round. Definitely up there with one of the best drafts so far this year.
