Mike Carlson is doing the commentary which doesn't help, I like him but not as a commentator!

Thing is he'll probably be doing that commentary from a sound studio in London somewhere, over the tape of a game from last week that he has to pretend he's watching live.

It's the way the BBC used to cover Touring Cars, edit the whole thing down into a half hour package then put the commentary over the top rather than have it done live.

I've been watching it with the sound down,at least they're using someone who has knowledge of the sport,whenever eurosport has ice hockey on they sometimes have that Carlton Kirby chap doing the commentary when you can tell he hasn't a clue about the sport.He does a lot of sports on that channel,it's like they say 'we can't find a proper commentator so we'll let Carlton have a go'

We got our Giants tickets from the ticket exchange (where people sell on their unwanted tickets) on the offical NFL ticket website. Ok there were expensive and were in the gods and if you know the system better you might be able to get a better deal but we just wanted to makesure we got proper tickets. They are email tickets so easy to use, they just scan it on the way into the stadium.

If you do get tickets, be aware the stadium is miles away from New York but getting there is pretty simple on the train, just take into account the travel time. Getting back was simple as well, although the wait at the second trainstation was annoying. Ours was a monday night game, didn't get back to our hostel in the Upper West Side till pushing 2.30am. Get there early and take beer or something with you to enjoy the tailgate party. Although since you will be there in December, it will be freezing so wrap up warm, very warm, the stadium is open totally to the elements.

I think the NFL Draft is on ESPN next week.

BBC is covering it too according to Michael Lombardi, he tweeted in the week saying he did a piece for 5 Live ready for the BBC's first ever live coverage of the draft.

Just had a quick look, the draft is on 5 live as opposed to TV for the beeb, ESPN usually have it although Kiper & Gruden are unbearable, so the nfl.com stream for Mayock is the way forward.

Neil Reynolds has tweeted he is at the BUAFL thing at south Leeds stadium, someone pop along and give him a slap for me will you, I'd do it myself but I'm busy!

Basically, he's sort of mates with the guy who runs the league. Never played in the league or anything like that. The majority of us in the league think it's a joke.

Looking forward to the draft now just to see how teams mess up!

The Draft is usually fairly quiet for us Packer fans, thankfully. Ted Thompson is a brilliant GM so we pretty much always draft extremely well (excluding Justin Harrell and a few others) and usually trade down rather than up.

We have a number of ways to go in the draft but i'd like to see us go defence. We could do with getting an OLB to help out Clay because he is on his own in terms of pass rushing ability, Shea McLellin (probably spelt wrong- from Boise) is somebody who i've heared we are interested in. Other options include a CB if any fall (would allow us to cover for Nick Collins possibly not returning by moving Woodson back there) or simply taking the BPA if any of the receivers drop down. Personally I think if there is no OLB that TT likes then we will trade down. Later in the draft i'd look at an RB to back-up Starks, somebody speedy who can catch out of the backfield. I also really like Kellen Moore and Russell Wilson at QB and would love either of them to be back-up to A-Rod.


Anyway, just some predictions:

1) I think the Vikings will mess up and not select Kalil.
2) The Dolphins will panic and select Ryan Tannehill (this years Blaine Gabbert).
