It isn't a ridiculous trade. It's what amounts to a 5 man deal, as the limit is three two trades were needed to finalize it.
Snelling
Branch
Fitzgerald
Rice
Freeman
for
Smith
Barber
Johnson
Mendenhall
Boss

Not as lopsided as I first thought, but I reckon with the trade between the two better players (Fitzgerald / Rice for Johnson / Mendenhall), whoever ends up with Johnson and Mendenhall is getting the better end of the deal.

Josh Freeman is also better than Alex Smith. So quite even. That leaves you with Boss & Barber for Snelling & Branch which is neither here or there.

WTF why didn`t they just find a stadium that was big enough?
And like the bloke said in the video what happens if there is an INT or fumble recovery? are the players allowed to return it to that endzone?

I don't think it would be as much of a problem. The main concern is probably receivers running routes to the back of the end zone and colliding with the wall.
I think it's pretty cool - definitely something unique. I went to Wrigley Field a couple of years ago for a baseball game, think it's one of the oldest grounds in baseball IIRC.

| Looking at the pictures of where the pitch is marked out, wouldn't having it diagonal across the whole outfield have made enough run off space to play using the full length of the pitch and not just half? madness

| Chaps I have a Madden decision to make. I'm GM of the Packers in an online franchise. Trade deadline is approaching and I'm debating on whether to cash in on Rodgers and Woodson. The deal on the table is Rodgers and Woodson for Harvin, Tracy Porter and Jason Campell. Now it's an obvious drop in standard from Rodgers to Campbell but I tend to run a west coast offense. Woodson is 35ish and dropped from 97 to 92 rated last season so he is on his way out. Harvin is rated 90 and Porter 86. Both should improve as they are still young. Would any of you guys pull the trigger on this trade?

| For anyone iterested (people with Gamepass or know of links), Bill Parcells: A life in football, starts in a couple of minutes on the NFL Network. Looks like itll be a good show and theyve been plugging it for a week or so.

Absolutely not.
Rodgers is a million times better than Campbell and considering you play west coast I bet he has one of the highest accuracy and power percentage which is key for a west coast QB. Harvin would be decent but i presume you still have Jones, Nelson and Jennings so he would be fairly un-needed. C-Wood is still quality at 92 so i'd keep hold of him.

Jones got traded away in a blockbuster trade that landed me AP. Rodgers is chuffin brilliant but he seems to pick up injuries fairly easily and I reckon I can put up similar numbers with a reasonable 80+ rated QB. Woodson is still brilliant for me but he is 36 and his skills are dropping like a stone. Next season Porter will go above him rating wise and there is a decent chance Woodson calls it a day.
Another issue with the Pack is that they are an old team in some position. I have Woodson and Harris at CB who are both 35+ with a maximum of one more season left in them. Donald Driver is now 37 and while he has held on to a high 80s rating I'm going to cash in on him as again he is not going to be around long. Getting Harvin in fixes the WR issue as I will have Jennings and Harvin as starters with Nelson in the slot. I'm also trading an 85 rated rookie centre that I drafted for a 1st and 2nd round pick so I hopefully get to pick up a decent CB and QB in the 1st round to remedy these weaknesses.
How sad is it that I can ramble on like this about a Madden game

Even though he was already making the block when James Sanders hit the opposition player, whats he supposed to do?
Pathetic from the NFL

So did Moreno get fined for his at Wembley?
Good to see Goodell sweep under the carpet Harrison's deliberate attempt to do in Brady's knee again too, the intent alone deserved a suspension.

No idea about Moreno TBH
Lunging at a players knees when you are already on the ground is illegal, like I said the other day maybe James Harrison isnt allowed to be fined more than 3 times, either that or they don`t want him to spit his dummy out and threaten to retire again
It`s no suprise there is a real threat of there not being a season next year with an utter fecktard like Roger Goodell holding all the power in the NFL

| Not been on the board since the Bears win on Thur night as I've only just recovered from laughing at st conroy stating the Chiefs should have kept thigpen over cassell It was another game that the defence won for us.Not just the turnovers they get but the field position they give to the O.
The only bad thing about us maybe getting into the playoffs again is Lovie might keep his job.Over the years we've had great D but it's plain to see that our Offence is no where near good enough to beat the teams we'll come up against in the playoffs, you just have to look at what the Giants D did to us to see that.It never will be while Lovie is coach.

I stand by what i've said. Thigpen should still be the Chiefs QB.
Good win for the Bears but it is nice to see the first thing on Lovie's mind is us. “We wanted to put the pressure on that second-place team behind us”

I remember his press conference when he got the Bears job the first thing he said was #1 on his to do list was to beat the Packers and IIRC his record against you is not bad.

I think it is abit sad really. Your in 1st, deservedly, and your looking behind at us. You don't need to pressure us, if you win out, (since we play each other again last game of the year i think) your division winner. We should be trying to pressure you not vice versa.
We are in your head!

Thats pretty obvious that they want to preesure you though? Your second in the division and therefore their main threat. Who else are they going to put pressure on? Themselves?. For example, if Castleford were top of Super League and Hull KR were second, naturally their main targets to pressurise would be Hull KR as they pose the greatest threat. Had it been Minnesota or Detroit that were second in NFC North with Chicago top, he may have said the same thing about them. By pressuring you and beating you they make their life a hell of a lot easier as they give themselves a bigger safety cushion.

They shouldn't need to pressure anybody. If the Bears do everything the Bears control (WIN) then they go through as division leaders, not least because we play each other last game of the season. If the Bears win every game they are 13-3 (i think) and we are 12-4.
Add to that why does a Bears win put pressure on us, we need to win anyway.
It just seems a strange comment to make (whoever the team in second is) when you've just won.

I'd love us ( Cas ) to be top of Super League.

| Should be a great game later, Manning can put up points against our D with or without recievers and we can put points on the board too. Its yet another game that either team can win but hopefully Bradys record at Gillette will still be intact after the game

I'm guessing nobody will be allowed to fart within 10 metres of either quarterback. This should be the "QB Rule Book Changes Bowl"
I'll be watching the Rams anyhoo
