There is a decent young running back at the NYG called Andre Brown, he is a bit down the depth chart but may be worth a risk.

I've not set my line-up yet so he might end up starting at my flex position but i think in general the Jets are the most over-rated team in the NFL and IMO will not make the play-offs.

I wouldn't say that. Which areas would you say they're weak? Did anybody watch MNF classics on ESPN last night?

They are being built up in the media as a real contender when in reality they only did so last year becuase Indy decided they didn't want to win.
They have a brilliant defence and a good o-line but i question there ability to match teams in a high scoring game which your going to have to do to win a championship. It is not going to be possible for them to just run all game and the NFL is a passing first league.
Sanchez is decent but he had 8 more INT's than TD's. If you play the way they do then he must be more efficient. Sanchez and some fairly inconsistent recievers are the problem.
Some of the decisions they have made in the off-season for example to replace the leading rusher they had (Thomas Jones 1,400+ and 14TD's) with LT is strange along with bringing in some players who are hardly known for good character (Cromartie and Holmes).
They are a good team and will fight for the wildcard spot (IMO it'll finish 1. Miami. 2. New England. 3. NYJ. 4. Bills) but i just don't buy them being placed with the likes of Indy, New Orleans, us, San Diego etc as any kind of favourites.

| I dont think San Diego will do much this year, their best pure reciever hasn't signed his tender and has a looming suspension, their running game is an unknown at the minute and they've not got a nose tackle AFAIK. Their secondary could be suspect in places as well.
I think they may not even make the playoffs.
Playoff Predictions:
AFC:
Indy [#1
Baltimore [#2
Miami [#3
Oakland [#4
New England [#5
Tennessee [#6
NFC

A lot of weaknesses there, replacing Faneca with a divII rookie, a good RB with a kid with fumble problems, a washed up Complainian and Joe McKnight who couldn't even handle one days rookie minicamp, Slausen is the worst guard I've ever seen play, Folk was rubbish in Dallas so NY in winter will be hilarious to see him try and kick in, Pace is good but Taylor is past it, the DL is old & injury prone. Sanchez will be a monumental bust.

| My play-off predictions and without looking at schedules, the rough amount of wins they will get:
AFC East Winners: Miami (#4 seed: 9 wins)
AFC West Winners: San Diego (#3 seed: 10 wins)
AFC North Winners: Baltimore (#1 seed: 13 wins)
AFC South Winners: Indy (#2 seed: 11 wins)
AFC WILDCARD: New England (#5: 9 wins)
AFC WILDCARD: Houston (#6: 9 wins)
NFC East Winners: Philadelphia (#3 seed: 10 wins)
NFC West Winners: San Francisco (#4 seed: 8 wins)
NFC North Winners: Green Bay (#2 seed: tough schedule so between 11-13 wins)
NFC South Winners: New Orleans (#1 seed: 13 wins)
NFC WILDCARD: Minnesota (#5 seed: 10 wins)
NFC WILDCARD: Dallas (#6 seed: 9 wins)
Both of the final wildcard spots are difficult. I could see Oakland getting ahead of Houston and likewise Carolina getting ahead of Dallas.

=#8000FFSorry but Miami, really? the same team who's beat reporter is saying this team has the WORST pass rush he's ever had the misfortune of seeing in his career? Not to mention Koa Misi & Cameron Wake are garbage against the run, and the NT has retired.
They still only have one WR, Henne looks down his targets so coverage is going to lean on Marshall. Wildcat is dead on top of that.
8-8 at best for them this year.
'"
So i'm only 1 win out.
How you can say Misi is garbage when he hasn't even played a down.
NT they have moved the end inside and drafted Odrick to play end in the 34. Linebacker wise they signed Dansby who is a great ILB. Rush wise they are obviously in a transition period, similar to us last year. We had two rookies (after Kamp went down) at pass rusher and turned out OK.
I think your under-rating their offence. Henne is a good solid QB and doesn't check down any more than Orton, with whom Marshall managed to get 1,100+ yards and 10 TD's. They have some other decent guys like Bess (750 yards), Hartline (500 yards). Marshall being present also keeps the defences honest and opens it up for the running game.
I definately think they have the talent to win the division.

he couldn't tackle college backs so he's going to struggle bit time against the NFLs best.

Well the original offer I recieved for Mass was a good one. That's been withdrawn and the replacement offer is shabba. Soon as I figure out how to reject it I will.

I always predict series splits with the Vikes and Bears. If they get Brett back i think we'll split, without Favre i wouldn't back against us sweeping them.
We have a very tough schedule (AFC East and NFC East plus Atlanta and San Fran) but i honestly think we can get to between 11-13 wins. We have our O-line back together and the second half of the season we only lost twice IIRC to the Steelers and Cardinals. That brings me to the second point. We have our secondary back together whch was decimated by injuries. In both of those defeats we were ripped by 4 and 5 wide sets because we had no players. On the Steelers winning play Wallace was covered by Bell who we picked off the street that week. Normally he'd have been covered by Harris or Lee. Likewise against the Cardinals, Breaston had a good game who again would be covered by Harris or Lee.
I think the Vikes will slip up late if Favre comes back, he faltered down the stretch last year and he's getting on now. Likewise without him i don't think they win enough to win the division.

Fair assesment. I think Detroit may surprise a few. They have a much improved D and a home run hitter in Jahvid Best. The main problem they will face is not having another decent wideout which means teams can double CJ all day.

| Dez Bryant has apparently signed a contract. The first of the first round picks to sign which hopefully gets the ball rolling.
Bradford alledgedly will be after/is getting $50 million guaranteed.

Definately but i think at the same time it would be difficult to implement correctly.
Where is the cut off in salary? Is it based soley on draft position eg picks 1-10 get $10 million and 11-20 get $8million or do you factor in the position the players are?

You set a maximum per round. For first rounders, it should be set at 90% of the salary of the highest paid player in that position in the NFL.
It then reduces round by round - so second round picks have a limit set at 80% of the first round limit, 3rd rounders at 60% and so on.
