As an aside, I've taken the gamble of purchasing a cheap Day 5 ticket at Headingley with the deal of no refund.

KP got a beauty of a ball but Prior played loosely and whilst Colly plays that shot a lot it's an awful way to get out and especially to a crap bowler. Freddie did his usual woft outside of off stump so we can hardly be surprised.

Our batsmen seem to want to come in and play at 100mph the whole time, whatever happened to playing defensive shots and waiting for the right time to play shots, Australia showed in the first Test how batsmen should pace and innings.

Yes I'd be interested to know if it's just a Yorkshire CCC thing.

I can't imagine there's any other event in the world where you buy a ticket and if it doesn't take place they trouser your cash anyway.

It does seem more a case of the Aussies sussing out our batting waeknesses rather than irresponsible shots.

The only consolation is that there appears to be more help for the bowlers than at Cardiff. No doubt Hughes will prove that wrong and score a ton.

We've gone from a position where we looked like the worst we could possibly hope for would be a draw to now looking like defeat is the most likely option.

The lack of mentle strengh from some of our batsmen is criminal and that line up really needs a shake up.
