Last away game of our Blue Square North tenure tonight, let's hope we put a dent in Scouseport's play-off hopes

Apparently there's some daft mathematical possibility that Bromley can make the Conference South play-offs but I don't think we can grumble with a top half finish in our first year at the higher level.

Our current eighth spot puts us at 131.5th in English football, which would be our best finish since the 131st of 1994-95.

Play offs? Pah. Who needs 'em.

Thought that 4-1 was harsh. Gave away two sloppy goals early on, pulled one back and, as ever, got caught out chasing the equaliser.

Oh well, it was fuin while it lasted. At least we'll be able to drink on the terraces again next year!

Pretty upset RMI didn't stay up! But, there's still a couple of local games for me at Burscough and Southport.

Then again, there's talk of Conf South teams not meeting ground regs and Wrexham in severe financial trouble, so its not over off the pitch yet!

Well, I have absolutely no idea how Farsley get around the regulations each year because it's illegal to have alcohol on the terraces of any football ground, from roughly about pub league upwards.

Southport aren't a bad side so they might end up getting promoted yet; Hyde, Droylsden and Stalybridge are all easy runs via Manc though.


The Southern team is Cambridge City so I doubt it will effect the North too much.

So all we need is Wrexham to 'do a Boston' and Cambridge City's ground to fall apart before Saturday and we're saved!



Lewes are apparently on dodgy ground as well.

The conference relegation battle is finally over.

Alty down, despite drwing 2-2 at Weymouth whilst Halifax Town lost 2-1 at home to Stevenage.

Shame we miss Alty on the way down, but an enjoyable game at RMI despite the defeat. Even featured a relegation conga.

Hope Alty can find yet another way of staying up like they have done the last three years. Great club and always an enjoyable trip.


Glad the season's over now. It's felt like it's gone on 5 or 6 weeks too long for most of our guys and yesterday was just embarrassing.
Not sure what to do next Saturday. I might just go on a 500-mile drive for no apparent reason, just like I have done the last three Saturdays....

I'd have to agree with you on that one. Alty, is an enjoyable away fixture. But I suppose it might have smothing to do with them being less than an hours drive away from my house, which in the conference at the moment is somwhat of a rarity, having trailed down to both Weymouth and Torquay. Nevertheless, at least the Shaymen are safe, for another year at least.

On the field, at least.

FCUM beat Garforth Town 2-1 yesterday to secure second place and a home tie in the play off semi against Bamber Bridge on Wednesday and, if we win that, a home tie against either Curzon Ashton or Skelmersdale in the final on Saturday.
