| Bolt is simply awesome.
A total freak (in athletic terms).
I've no doubt he can break 19s for the 200m as he's still making mistakes but has real raw speed.
In my 40+ years of watching athletics I've never seen anyone dominate the sprints like him.
Even when Michael Johnson was winning time and time again in the 400's, the likes of Butch Reynolds and co were not too far behind, but to win the 200 by over half second and 5 meters is simply breath-taking.
Sign him for Wire on the wing.
At 6'5'' not many will be able to outjump him, and I'm sure he could tackle a bit !!! (Not too late for the final!)

| His height is the key. Not many at 6'5" can get their legs moving at the pace of smaller sprinters. Put it this way, my team has a player at 6'8". He's not a 'fast' runner, but bloody hell he's hard to catch at full stride simply because each stride covers half the pitch.
A quick google tells me that Bolt takes 40 to 41 strides for the 100m (a 2.5m stride), whereas Walter Dix, the bronze medallist at the Olympics, takes 47 (a 2.1m stride).
Bolt also runs with up to a 114° stride angle, against other sprinters with around 106°. So not only does he have longer legs, a longer stride, take less strides to finish, and run with a bigger stride angle, he can move his legs bloody fast for a big 'un.
What's scary is that his technique in general is awful, and he's a lazy runner (though he did seem to go flat out in the 200m). I wouldn't be surprised to see him smash the 100m further.

| Bolt is just so impressive. For me it's the consistency, nothing fazes him whatsoever. After the Olympics the pressure was on and then he comes out and runs two world records in a week, phenomenal!!

| i honestlt think something fishy is happening in the whole jamaican team...just rememeber that none of the BALCO athletets tested positive until a whistler blower blew the whistle......i'll leave it at that
just moving back to our hurdler will sherman..iirc he's done all this without lottery funding.....of course the danger is now he'll get buckets of cash thrown at him,he'll become lazy....and go backwards..as a vast majority of our young "stars" do

| If it were a whole group of eastern europeans smashing records and personal bests' all over the place a la the Jamaicans then there would be all kinds of suspicion and accusations flying around.
I'm cynical about, even more so since those 5 Jamaicans tested positive, didn't get banned because the substance detected wasn't on the banned list, then JADCO over-ruled their own judgement!!

| Where was Berlingo the Bear yesterday? I think we should be told.
Options
1) He's been sacked after dropping the Jamaican hurdler.
2) It was throwing it down, and he didn't want to get his fur wet.
3) It was Friday night and he was down the Bier Keller.

Or adding to that:
4) Getting somewhat "over-friendly" with some of the female athletes
5) His pathetic attempts of joining in during the long/middle distance events in the outside lane.
6) Stealing Usain Bolt's thunder after his 200m world record by mimicking the legend's pose during a post-race photo shoot, while Mr Bolt was trying to revel in his glory.

Looking at your signature Wakefieldite,I thought this one would be more appropriate for your part of the world.
