| Another mock draft up on the nfl.com website. Has us taking Suh with the 1st pick. Conroy's Clausen isn't slated to go in the 1st round at all according to them, Bradford been the top QB taken at 26 by the Cards.

| =#8000FFMy personal favourite QB in this draft is Colt McCoy, accurate, a leader and based on some of his college come back wins, fairly clutch I could see McDaniels taking him in the 2nd round and develop him for a year or 2.

He's Ok but he has a relatively poor arm ala Kyle Orton/Chad Pennington.

Bucky Brooks mock draft?
It is a terrible draft for a number of reasons.
1. JPP at 3 is high for a guy who has only really played well for one year at college.
2. Eric Berry is an excellent prospect, possibly the next Ed Reed, absolutely no way he falls to 13.
3. Terrence Cody at 18 is rubbish. He is good but the guy is massive (fat) and not better than Dan Williams
Biggest and most importantly is the QB issue. Not only is it ridiculous to have Bradford over Clausen, a guy who has had two shoulder operations on his throwing arm versus a guy who has had the best junior QB years in a long while, but it is ridiculous that teams like St. Louis, Washington, Seattle (Twice), Cleveland, Buffalo and Jacksonville who could all draft a QB will ALL pass on a QB (whoever they rate as higher) let alone teams trading up to get either or teams who think they are good value but don't neccesarily need a QB taking them. If Clausen is available at our pick i'd seriously consider taking him to back up Rodgers.
If you manage to get Suh in round 1 and Clausen in round 2 it will be the best first two rounds of a draft ever.

=#8040FFThat's why I think McDaniels will take him, he prefers accuracy over arm and he has scrambling ability unlike Orton so he opens the playbook a bit more and he just seems to have a cracking attitude towards the game and in general.
Bucky Brooks mock is terrible I remember just shaking my head when I saw it some truly terrible picks on it.

| Shoot me down, but anyone else think Tebow may rise in the the draft as a QB over time? I know he has mechanics problems, but is Bradford any better? Bradford has a bad shoulder, and plays out of a spread offense the same as Tebow. Tebow WILL improve practising under centre in an NFL style offense for months before the draft. It would not surprise me if Tebow moved up these imaginary mock drafts and ended up in the 1st round somewhere. By the sounds of if it Bradford did not have a great cannon before the injory. I think improvements and media stuff could possibly move Tebow up inot the first round. What do you think?

I was waiting for someone to see that
As I posted a few days ago I had taped the Americas game programmes from superbowl week on sky and watching the Bears 85 season it brought back some good memories as a young Bears fan and I realised I can't throw away 25+ years of support just because they've lost their way since 06.
The bad last couple of years and probably the same will happen next year (with no draft picks in the 1st and 2nd round coupled with the reluctance to spend big on FA's) will just make the good years in the future even sweeter.
It's the 1st time i've seen the Bears Americas game programme and I can thank sky from stopping me making a big mistake in dropping the Bears.

Tebow will go to the Jags in round 1. Unless he doesn't do well in the combine and they will take him in round 2. He will be a Jag though.

Congratulations on seeing the light
Every team has bad patches, some even bad decades which like you say is what makes it all the more sweet when your team is doing well, the salary cap situation isnt going to help many of the lesser teams because they dont want to spend big because if the cap does come back sooner rather than later it will surely affect them for the next few years.
I dont think we will spend as much as people think even though we have it we have never been big spenders and generally let our "star" players go rather than pay them, I just hope we resign Vince Wilfork because we have plenty of draft picks to trade for players if we dont use them.

To boost the Jags flagging tickets sales. Wayne Weaver is banking on Gator fans travelling from the swamp in Gainesville to watch Tebow in the pros.
Be interesting to see if any team tries to smoke screen the Jags and get them to trade up for extra picks?

Remeber your Crabtree guarantee last year?
I hope we sort out our linebackers. I'm leaning towards us going after Barret Ruud in free agency and trying to move up in the draft to get Berry.

No i actually don't. Other than i don't really rate him and i thought DHB would go higher, which he did.
It'd be nigh on impossible for you to get Berry. You'd have to give up way too much on the TVC to get upto around pick 3 (Tampa) to get Berry.

He's not been an utter bust admitedly and has done decent. I still think he has a bad attitude, came from a gimmicky college that inflated his numbers and has a questionable QB throwing him the ball.
He might prove me wrong. I'd like to see people on here acknowledge when I predict something correctly along with when I get it wrong!

Vernon Davis did not do too bad getting a career type season catching balls from this questionable QB. Alex Smith could be improving you know. The niners could be a real threat next season if the passing game can keep improving to make their offense more rounded.

Jamie Dukes said he would be astonished and amazed if Tebow went 1st round. For me people are focussing way to much on Tebows weaknesses and not enough on his positives. Bradford, McCoy, Clausen, Pike and Tebow all have flaws/weaknesses/injury doubts. If Tebow was one of the best college players of all time he must have some upside to him. I know good college play doesnt always translate into good play at the NFL level. Saying this iam sure Tebow will work on the technicals enough before the combine for 1 or 2 teams to be seriously interested in taking him first round come draft time.

Alex Smith is improving but he is still far below what he should be considering he was the number one overall pick. The 49ers obviously made the wrong choice and i'm pretty thankful that they chose Alex Smith instead of Aaron Rodgers.
They are a solid team and i fully expect them to make the play-offs next year since they are in the worst division in the NFL now Arizona have lost Warner. I could see them winning the division at around 8-8.

I think he will go to the Jags in round 1 as i've said but in terms of a player i wouldn't touch him before round 3. I'm sure he fumbled something like 5 of 6 of the first snaps he took at the senior bowl. To have such a basic problem is worrying. The guy is a leader and i've no doubt he will work hard to make it but right now he isn't ready. His accuracy is average, he won't be able to run as much in the NFL, he can't take snaps, he hasn't had to make many pre-snap reads and played exclusivley in the shotgun. I really hope he makes it because he is a great character but i don't think he'll ever be a great QB.
Bradford has the most concerns over his injuries and it baffles me how a guy who has suffered a number of shoulder injuries (and operations) can be rated as highly and above Clausen. He also did come from a somewhat spread offence.

I remember the Packers drafting somebody similar to Tebow. Erik Crouch? is that correct ? Thats why Smith struggled his first few years due to being in Meiers offence at Utah.

Can't say i know of him but wikipedia says Eric Crouch won the 2001 Heisman at Nebraska, was drafter by St. Louis and then was a Packer in 2003/2004 but only on our practise squad.
Indeed that is why Smith has struggled, and it doesn't bode well for Tebow that 5 years later he still hasn't done much (actually has more INT's than TD's).

Thats him, he was unbelievable in college. There are rumors swirling that the St. Louis Rams are interested in trading down from the No. 1 overall pick in the draft in order to acquire additional draft picks and veteran players.
The rumor has it that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could strike a blockbuster trade with the Rams that would enable them to take Nebraska’s Ndamukong Suh with the first pick..
The Rams would then get the third overall pick in the draft and quarterback Josh Johnson from Tampa.
It’s no secret that St. Louis is quarterback shopping. With the third overall pick the Rams could sign Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford or even Jimmy Clausen from Notre Dame.
Don’t rule out Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick winding up there either.

Yeah i've heard both of those rumours. Mike Vick wouldn't be worthwhile.
The Tampa trade i believe your correct was apparently Josh Johnson, swapping first round picks and Tampa's 3rd round pick also.
I've said all along they should get Clausen, who is excellent, so the trade wouldn't be bad if they could move down, still get the player and make some extra picks. Also it's no secret that i really like Josh Johnson so it would be OK.
I have a hard time seeing it happening and if they are intent on moving down they could get more than that or at least look for more. On the TVC that places Josh Johnson as worth the 35th pick, which he isn't.
Interesting trade i saw earlier was [url=http://sportales.com/football/randy-moss-traded-to-green-bay-packers/Randy Moss to us in exchange for B.J Raji.[/url. I'd be horrified if it happened. A. We don't need Moss when we have Driver and Jennings. B. Even if we needed a WR he wouldn't be worth trading our future NT and basically saying he is equivalent to #9 pick overall. The website doesn't seem very reliable so i take it with a pinch of salt, the website also says that [url=http://sportales.com/football/peyton-manning-retires/Peyton Manning is retiring.[/url
