| Big rumours today are LBJ is going to Miami to team up with Bosh & Wade. If this is the case, the Knicks should concentrate on finding a PG for Stoudemire or that signing is not going to go well.
According to a Fox Sports article:
Quote Steve Nash had an assist in well over a third of Stoudemire’s baskets. That’s 2,310 points in basically five seasons. Over four playoff campaigns, Nash had an assist on 44 percent of Stoudemire’s baskets. And none of this includes the points Nash helped create for Stoudemire on the free-throw line.'"
As for the Raptors, well we're pretty much screwed for the foreseeable future. We're stuck having to make nice with Hedo, despite him saying he didn't want to be in TO anymore, because nobody wants that contact. We've got a bunch of hard working young guys with no leader. For the 3rd time in their short history the Raps lose a franchise player and get zip for him. That's just ridiculous.

| The Miami thing is a smokescreen from ESPN. Not one mention on their site r.e Jared Dudley's twitter remark or Ochocincho, they're trying to keep interest alive. Would LBJ really go to Knicks country to tell them he isn't coming? Either us or the Cavs, he'll get the Reggie Miller treatment if he snubs us.

He's stupid if he goes to the Knicks or Nets.

Cap room for another max player next year, would still have money left this year. Don't rule us out though

I'm not ruling you out. I think it is very possible he signs for you given how much he seems to like New York and the increased media that would give him. However i think he'd be wrong to sign for you. I'd put you third in likely places he'll end up.
If he wants money nobody can offer him more than Cleveland can. If he wants a championship then Miami is the best option given they have Bosh and Wade. I'm not really sure who next years FA's would be, other than Yao could leave us, and i doubt any are better than DWade or Bosh so i think you guys are about 2 or 3 years away from actually having a genuine run in the play-offs.
Also this tv show announcement thing would be an unclassy thing to do if he is leaving Cleveland.

It seems so, or at least he can be. He has an early termination option whether the option is his or the teams i'm not sure.
I don't really rate Melo highly personally, and aside from him there are a few very good players available but none at superstar level. Other than him there is Yao, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Tyson Chandler amongst others available in 2011.

| Ah well. A bit bitter about it., harsh on cleveland. He chose the easiest option an best chance to win. Maybe tainted his obvious future success due to him having to piggyback on wades team rather than lead on his own. He's gona get booed in alot of arenas.

Certainly won't leave the one club legacy of people like Jordan, Kobe, Bird and Johnson. I thought LeBron would put his own ego/legacy above all but he's put that all aside to go and win trophies, not sure if that's a good thing or not.

| Was arguing with the boyfriend last night about the magnitude of this move. He says it's no different to when Boston brought in Allen and Garnett to go alongside Paul Pierce and doesn't see what all the fuss is about. This is why I don't respect his opinion when it comes to sport.

| i can see were hes coming from Garnett and Allen 2 very very good players but there at Miami you have 3 of the 5 best players in the NBA IMO its a scary proispect who you going to double teamm?? james?? then that leaves Wade and bosh single coverage its unreal.
1.James
2.Bryant
3.Wade
4.Bosh
5.Howard
6.Durant
theres my top 6 in the NBA by the way

| There’s no denying that Dan Gilbert came across like a spoilt child with his comments after Lebron had chose to ply his trade in Miami, but is there really a need for Jesse Jackson to try and turn this into a race issue?
Dan Gilbert was very unprofessional in his comments on Thursday night and I agree with Jesse Jackson about the fact that these comments could have put Lebron in danger.
However, I am 100% convinced that these comments were that of an owner who was simply p****d off at his star player walking away from his team and informing the Nation/World without having the decency to make a call to his employers of the past 7 years. At no point did it even cross my mind that this could be a race issue, but it seems to me that Jesse Jackson has tried to turn it into one. Shame on him

| Jackson's a Grade A tool who plays the race card on every single issue - he's Al Sharpton with a college education.
Yes Jesse, NBA free agents really are like runaway slaves - slaves with big mansions, fast cars, more money in the bank you can ever expect to have in a lifetime and the right to go work for whoever they like.
Maybe Gilbert was unprofessional in sounding more like a fan than an employer, but to imply that makes him an advocate of slavery would have me straight on the phone to my lawyers demanding an apology if I were him.

Far greater than Allen and Garnett obviously given the magnitude of LeBron and Bosh especially given respective ages of them. Miami will realistically be the favourites for the title for the next 6 years.
As for LeBron he is an ego-maniac. The decision tv show was entirely his idea (or his teams) apparently and purely rubs it into the faces of Cleveland. He strung all of the teams along. Why not slide away quietly or at least tell your hometown team before they find out on TV. Why have the show broadcast from relatively close to Knicks areas.
He is without doubt an excellent player but he can no longer be the self appointed "king". He has had to join somebody else team because he has no bottle in the play-offs. The difference between regular season performances and some down the stretch have been significant.
For me until he shows it in the play-offs consistently he isn't the best player in the league and is behind Kobe and DWade.

| Can't believe we managed to trade Turk. Was going to be a bigger deal which would see us offload another cumbersome contract in Calderon, but Michael Jordan had second thoughts. Still, 1 out of 2 aint bad.

| CP3 maybe in NYC? Ha ha. How you all laughed when we didn't bag Lebron. One that has flew under the radar is our signing of Timo Mosgoz the russian centre. Highly thought of throughout the FIBA world and a great pickup. In a deal for CP3 look for us to offer Chandler, Douglas and maybe Randolph. We'll keep hold of Currys expiring for next year to sign Melo.

| So I bit the bullit and got tickets for the Raptors home opener. Really not sure what to expect this year. Well that's not entirely true. I expect us to play with enthusiasm but ultimately we'll lose a lot more than we'll win.
