I completely forgot about the UK Open yesterday. Luckily there was a re-run about 2.30am last night so put it on the Sky Plus.

Nicholson looks like the sort of bloke who wants to play the villain....i bet Merv King WANTS him in the Pl to take his curretn status of the top villain.

He did play a great match though, it will be a hard road to climb the rankings, but he certainly has the game to achieve it. I loves his attire last night though, very rock n roll...and a nice heartfelt tribute was paid by himself to the late Tom Kirby

How dignified was Obsbourne in victory he could have gone really OTT after that but seemed very calm and composed and took it in his stride and talked a good game afterwards in the interview.

Yeah i thought the same about Osbourne but i guess he realises that the main man is still Taylor and didnt want to sound too confident incase he loses against weaker opposition a bit like Mervyn King did in the Premier league

Taylor must be licking his lips now after his win i can see him breaking the record for the average in a match sometime tommorow especially as he nearly did it against the qualifier earlier

Taylor is on fire and should win it now. Terry Jenkins gave him trouble in the Premier League (2 7-7 draws) and last years Grand Slam of Darts so perhaps he is the best chance of stopping him.
