WWE are quick to point out things that went wrong with WCW and not highlight the good parts of the shows of which there were many. WWE were very lucky that WCW made those mistakes and that Turner Broadcasting got took over, because otherwise WCW might still be around.

Some of the wrestlers on RAW must be so unmotivated right now, that show needs turning around. Gail Kim has gone from putting on some of the best women's matches ever seen against Awesome Kong to wrestling completely unforgettable matches and screwing up, you wouldn't think it was the same person.

Agree though - definitely better when it's the wrestlers thinking for themselves (same goes for matches too, rather then everything planned out). Bobby Heenan said in a shoot them he and Gorilla Monsoon never rehed anything for their shows in the early 90's, and they were absolutely brilliant.

Nightmare.

I'm not as sure about not having the matches planned out. Apparantly the Savage vs Steamboat from WM3 (i think it was wm3 anyway) was planned to the last detail and the spots rehersed and that's considered by many to be one of the greatest matches of all time.

Oh yeah don't get me wrong it does work for a lot of people (Savage's series of bouts against DDP in WCW was also meticulously rehed and they were top notch), but many guys (inc Ted Dibiase - one of the all-time greats) said he prefered working on the fly and felt sometimes you could have better matches by doing so.

The problem with scripted matches/promos is if someone forgets something, it can screw things up completely if you don't have the ability to think quick.

O/T Funny clip on that popular video site of Angle trying to force open a cage door to attack someone, but as hard as he tries it just won't open, I think he ended up having to climb over.

Best one for me was Big Sid doing a promo and making a complete balls of it. After ing up telling everyone he was the baddest thing ever & was going to rule the world, he turned to Todd Petengill & said in his street voice "Sorry Todd, can we do that again"

Petengill's reply "Sorry Sid we're live accross the world at the WWF In your house !!!"

Best screw up by far was the "Shockmaster" incident on WCW.

Santino was better!

I remember that - he was supposed to stop someone taking an F5 off Lesnar. It was hilarious how Lesnar was just stood there like an idiot for about 2 minutes waiting for Angle to 'stop' him.

Just watched Mysterio versus Morrison on Smackdown. I've not been into wrestling for years but that was absolutely sensational. The artistry and physical prowess and skill on show was amazing. The entertainment value on offer was superb.

Several of the moves, particularly by Morrison were absolutely mind boggling. Sensational.

The Undertaker's entrace in the Matt Hardy fight was mega impressive too.

just watching it now, ing awesome, them running knees to the face that morrison does look devastating.


Also, CM Punk's entrance, me heel-tastic, that was up there with kicking a kitten or telling kids theres no santa.

Angelina Love has been released!

Apparantly it's because of her not having her Visa renewed though.

With visa's Angelina Love could be back in anything from a few weeks to several months. At worst she could be banned from the USA for 10 years due to working without a visa.

I'm watching that Morrison vs Rey match now, it has been a great match. As AJ Styles has said Morrison must watch a lot of tape. Morrison has definitely come a long way since Tough Enough.

Morrison uses a fair amount of Low Ki's (who is now with WWE) style, his finisher is like AJ's Spiral Tap but starting with his back to the opponent instead.

The start of SD was great

Just watched Smackdown. Morrison is a fantastic performer. I said he could be the new Shaun Michaels a long time ago. His gimmick is great, his move set is great and he's just about big enough (I mean that WWE standards) to be a big hit for a long time. A diamond in a pool full of e right now. There is only Jericho worthy of watching otherwise.

Michaels is the complete package both in and out of the ring, Morrison would melt with any decent promo time

think given time morrison will become the full package

he already has the micheals in ring style

Hard to believe he's not been wrestling properly his whole life, he came through Tough Enough, as did The Miz & Matt Morgan.
