I pay no attention to QPR. When reading your post I didn't know whether they were rolling down to oblivion, or rolling to the PL as I find they are by looking at the table and recent results.
Is their position down to an investment by the Benetton billionaire and/or his cronies? Apart from them taking over and sacking a manager here and there I haven't heard what's going on. What's the story?

| The mittal investment in Qpr makes them potentialy a very wealthy club. If the wealth was purely for the spending ( 12 billion last count) Then they could become a big player in the prem. my own opinion is they want loftus road for something other than football long term.

Isn't it a tad ironic that a Chelsea fan attempts to belittle another club's ambition by accusing them of just spending their way to success??...
Chelsea are the ultimate example of a small club punching above its weight purely because they are a foreign investor's plaything.

Saha I'll give you but if you think Yakubu fits that bill you need to give your head a shake, a waste of money? his first season here, we played football that he thrives off, not long ball sh[ii[/ite and he scored 21 goals. great return. It's not his fault our tactics are woeful and so negative that we hardly create chances. He's been our best striker when he's played this season around Stoke and Liverpool home he was superb and for some reason Moyes has decided not to give him a look in. It's all well and good wanting to bring another striker in but Moyes will only play one so if we do sign one he'll probably be warming the bench.
Fook right off, Bendtner? why, what would he offer us? he couldn't play the lone front man role with out style of football so it'd be a pointless signing. Why should Bendtner come in and walk straight into our team? I'd rather stick with what we've got.'"
The main problem with Everton at the moment is the centre midfield....Absolutely no drive or craft.....Arteta looks shot. I hope this doesn't sound like a knee jerk reaction, but I'd seriously consider cashing in on the guy unless he pulls his finger out pretty soon....Feillani is a holding midfielder and simply shouldn't be put anywhere else....Rodwell is a million miles from the finished article and is still prone to drifting in and out of games....and as for Russian Billy, well, if we aren't going to play somebody who we have paid almost 10 million for, then you may has well get rid.
I agree that Yakubu has not had a fair run of things, but it is obvious he does not fit into Moyes's team ethic of hard work....Just using yesterday's appearance as an example, he struggles to get involved and make an impact in the way that Moyes obviously desires.
I'm surprised that Moyes ever sold Andy Johnson, because that fella's headless chicken, runaround until you drop attitude ticked most of Moyes's boxes.

Punching above our weight because of RA? Definitely. There's no Chelsea supporters who would say that we haven't received the success that we have because of RA.
I don't begrudge Citeh of whatever success they get, and I wouldn't begrudge QPR. I was just asking what the deal was with them. QPR hadn't been in my thoughts for a second since they were bought by the billionaire. I wouldn't have thought about them if Dead Man hadn't mentioned them. So jog on, tard.

| I thought United were unlucky and possibly hard done to last night, it was a clear handball in the box which led to the goal but as Fergie said, United should of killed the game off and shouldn't of been hanging onto a 1-0 lead. however, I'm not complaining, how many times have United scored in the 90th+ minute over the years? My predictions for tonight is that we will beat Wolves 2-0, Chelsea will face a stalemate with Bolton, 1-1, and Arsenal will beat Wigan, 2-1.

It goes to show how good a manager Neil Warnock is, doesn't it? QPR were not even considered to finish in the play offs before the season began. In the last five or so years QPR have had trouble finding a decent manager that will deliver you consistent results and some good style of play; Ian Dowie, Paulo Sousa etc, however under Warnock they have only lost twice this season in 23 games and have conceded the fewest goals. I'd like QPR to come up, a good squad, some decent players in Adel Taarbt (I know he's on loan from Spurs), Jamie Mackay, a decent, passionate manager and also good owners with money to spend. Out of the other two I'd like to see Cardiff and Leeds to come up.

| QPR have actually spent pretty conservatively considering the money theowners have got. They have not done a Man City and gone and bought all the best players they could find and then attempt to shape them into a team. They have built quite slowly, and are now the standout team in the division. They are solid all the way through, but also now have a few outstanding players. Taraabt (ex Tottenham) is a very tricky midfielder who scores a lot of goals, and is the outstanding player in the Championship so far IMO (including Bellamy and Bothroyd). They also have Kyle Walker on loan from Tottenham at RB, who looks a very handy player.
They should go up this season, and then I expect the money will really start to be thrown at it.

Ahh, I didn't know that. That's a great buy, when I've watched him play, he's been brilliant, a joy to watch. The stand out player for me this season. He scored 2 at the weekend against Swansea.

QPR are owned by an Indian billionairre ( sp ? ) and has not splashed out millions to get the best players possible for the Championship but should we reach the Premiere League then that will more than likely change as you need to spend to compete.

From what I can remember QPR have spent about £10 million on the squad for this season which isn't as much as would be needed in the Premier League as that can be a players wages.

Typical Chelsea fan, full of p!ss and wind.
From what I see QPR's success is primarily down to 1 man and that's Neil Warnock....Love him or hate him, he knows the Championship and how to be successful in it.
As for my small club quip?....Well, to most football fans who were around before Sky ruined the sport, then Chelsea will always be the equal of a club like West Ham, rather than Arsenal or Spurs...Bit of a yo-yo club, play good football but with little success.
To give Chelsea credit, they are 1 of the few clubs who really embraced the Premier League ethic and have certainly reaped its rewards....I just can't help being cynical and think that once Roman gets bored of Chelsea or gets miffed that some clubs have more cash than him, then he'll do a dummy spit and disappear back to Russia, leaving Chelsea in a heap of trouble.
It will be interesting to see what happens if you don't make the top 4 this season.

I'm very fond of him, you just have to look at what he did with Sheffield United and taking them up to the Prem, he would of kept them up aswell if they'd of managed to beat Wigan on the final day of the season, IIRC. QPR will do well if they come up, I was reading in the paper today, only one team since 2005, who hasn't been top at New Year hasn't gone up via automatic promotion, that was 06-07 when Sunderland went up from being bottom with Roy Keane.

From the report I saw they kept showing the same angle and wittering on about handball, but the camera angle was from behind and completely inconclusive.
From behind it's possible that the ball did hit his arm, but his arms were completely down by his side and he was jumping up to meet the ball. There was no definitive hand to ball movement.
Fergie was also wittering on about a foul on Ferdinand. The Brum player jumped to meet the ball, Ferdinand was dawdling and still on the ground. Some times these are given as fouls, but Ferdinand got the call his play deserved.
They were even banging on about a possible offside, but they were scraping the barrel even for United.

So because Chelsea were at one point at roughly on a similar level to the Spammers, rather than Spurs or Arsenal, we will always be at that level? What a dumb piece of 5hit that is.
Throughout or history we've always been a big club. The 70s and 80s we were probably at our lowest level. Just because that's the time when you were growing up it doesn't mean that's our place. Clubs grow and contract all the time. At one time Wolves were the best team around, same with Forest and sides like that.
Sky ruined the sport? The 80s were good for Liverpool and Everton, they were pretty dire for everyone else. Sky have been good for English football. Only scousers would claim otherwise.

I fully respect your opinions, but I'd have to pull you up on this point.....How exactly has the Sky fantasy league been good for English football?
If encouraging seedy, ego driven foreign investors to swamp our sport is a good thing, then fair enough.....If bringing in barrel loads of sub-standard, mediocre players from abroad to the detriment of British youngsters is a good thing, then fair enough.
Football lost its soul the day it sold out to Sky....The lust for money and success is an unsightly one and only leads to any success that clubs gain to be tarnished.
Whilst a club like City or yourselves will welcome success, its sad that most people will simply point to the huge, vulgar investments as the reason for that success and not have the same 'acheivement' level attached to it that clubs had in the years before Sky....Look at Forest's success in the 70's and 80's as a prime example or Everton's just after.....Most success had to be earned and was rightly lauded - Nowadays, most success is bought.

It was handball - but United were awful during the last 10-15 minutes, couldn't hang on to the ball and it just kept coming back..probably just deserts for not seeing it off. Seemed to lose a grip in midfield when Anderson went off.

I think Allardyce is probably hanging fire for the next Premier job....West Ham, Wigan or Wolves..
If Wolves don't pick up something from Liverpool or West Ham, then I think he's nailed on for there.....Its his local club, so he would be there in a flash.

Not a good time to be a manager in Lancs this season if your name is not Holloway As a Rovers fan I wouldn't mind him going to Burnley as they'd have to put up with the style of play we have for the last 2 years.

Whilst your memory goes back to the 1970s, do a bit of research and you will find that Chelsea were consistently the highest supported club in the game between the 1920s and the early post war years.
The level of a club in the game's history is not simply based upon where it is now, but it's more relevant than simply basing it upon some random year in your childhood.
Jibes about clubs with "no history" usually come from clubs with "no future".
