Not sure their philosophy's match though, as Klopp has previously said it's not all about the money for him, and buying the best team.
Madrid rumours are surfacing as well, if Carlo doesn't win any trophies this year he will be out on his ear - but not sure there is the place for him either, given that he seems to want to be at a place for a long time and build/mould a team - neither of which he will get at City or Real if he doesn't win anything in his first 2 years there!

| Football management is crazy, isn't it?
Jurgen Klopp has absolutely flopped this season, been a total disaster - He's basically been the German version of Roberto Martinez, in that he's turned a supposedly decent side in to a bottom half, mediocre team.
So with that in mind, Klopp should be hanging onto his job - Instead, he's happily quit his job and is now being lined up with a number of the European 'big-boys'.
Surely only in football could such under achievement be rewarded with a job promotion?

| Poor Slippy G. Wont be playing in the FA cup final on his birthday.
I will just leave this Brendan Rodgers quote here...“Look at Tottenham … when you spend over £100m you’d expect to be challenging for the league.”

| Klopp to Real Madrid, Carlo A to Man City in the managers merry go round.
The Champions League Semi Final of Barca-Munich looks great. I prefer they meet now we get to watch 2 games!

| Don't see Klopp at either of City or Real to be honest. Think he's more suited to somewhere like Arsenal or Atletico where he'd have more time to build the team than buy it.

Significantly different to Martinez IMO, at least Klopp built that side in the first place, as well as winning leagues and a champions league before having his squad picked over by the rich boys. Martinez still has a lot to prove IMO.

| I don't see Klopp at City because he plays the wrong game for what City want. City want to control the ball and entertain, not press and counter. The team is built around that. If Klopp was approached (I don't think he would be) then the squad would need an overhaul to play his game. Tbh I think we will stick with the Pel for another year before they have another plunge at trying to tempt Pep from his tour of the gloryhunting European big boy clubs.

Reports from the Qutar say there has been some agreement between Manchester City & Munich for Pep to manage City next season.
So would that mean Klopp to Bayern?

Whilst I would love that, it's a case of seeing it before believing it isn't it. Hopefully Bayern get whooped by Barcelona again on Tuesday but seeing as they trounced Porto I'm not holding my breath. Can't see Bayern getting rid of him after the way they've coasted under him domestically.

Dortmund have been absolutely decimated with injuries this season to key players and mostly injured at the same time. The likes of Hummels, Subotic, Reus, Gundogan, Kuba, Kagawa, Bender have been absent from the team for long periods of the season.
What Klopp has done at Dortmund is excellent. Took them from a mid table team and built a team that every year (bar this one) has challenged Bayern for the title. He's won two league titles, 3 domestic cups and a runner up in the CL. This is a team that regularly loses it's best players to it's biggest rivals in Bayern.
Whoever gets him will be getting a world class coach and a great character too.

Why? Delighted for Karl Robinson. Young coach who's been close a couple of times and stuck with it and has finally won promotion.

Gerrard is bigger than the Beatles.
Can't remember who said it but I read this week that Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, if in the premier league would win it by 15-20 points. I have to agree totally. Barcelona made PSG look like schoolboys who in turn, schooled Chelsea with their best player sent off

Ridiculous isn't it. I can understand Liverpool giving him a bit of a fanfare. He's been a borderline great for them.
Not a player I've ever really rated that highly, of course he was in the top end of PL players in his prime, but was never world class. Despite the worshiping on the BBC and elsewhere over the weekend, there is a reason Liverpool didn't want to give him a new contract, he didn't warrant it. He's been average for a few years, his much heralded transition into Andrea Pirlo never happened and he was a liability for Liverpool in the deeper role. He'll be immortalised by Liverpool fans for being the best player in the world ever and remembered by everyone else for the slip that cost Liverpool the title. His personal life wasn't without incident either and only his Liverpool FC captain status kept him out of prison, which was wrong.
There should be far more being made of Frank Lampard's exit from English football than Slippy G's IMO.

Really? What for? A bar fight? Know many people who got thrown in jail for a bar fight do you because it's exceptionally rare for people with little or no previous history.

Only Blatter would have his organisation shown to be corrupt to the core and still avoid leaving his position. The press releases today from the Director of Communications about how it showed FIFA were on the right path and how it was great for football were just bizarre. Shades of the Iraqi guy on the roof proclaiming the land free of US tanks.
Some of the stuff Sky are reporting is bizarre as well. They are saying it's highly likely Blatter will be re-elected regardless of his administration being proven to be corrupt. Only FIFA...

| As football gets stronger and more popular in the USA the FBI pounce. Could it be that vested interests in US sport and its partners have influenced law enforcement? Who knows, maybe Sepp has been out-Blattered?

| It wouldn't surprise me. There's incredible money in football. The kind of money that finance likes to get hold of e.g. tax-free. The Israel suggestion wouldn't shock me either.
UEFA saying there should be a postponement is like trying to take down an elephant with a feather. They should stand up to him irrespective of what the other FAs say. Blatter needs kicking out, the whole thing needs reforming and its ethos changing.
FIFA could be a fantastic organisation but all this tax-free corporation bits, shafting countries with infrastructure then not given them tax, buying off FAs, ticket prices, attendances, greater transparency in voting etc. It could be a forward-thinking, world-leading organisation that uses its immense funds to energise different societies i.e. if you want to work with FIFA and have a world cup in your country then there are certain minimum requirements that must be met. It becomes an organisation that gives a genuine legacy, which Blatter constantly yaps on meaninglessly about.
First and foremost in those are human rights. I know it's sport but it has a responsibility to those who participate in it, both legally and morally. Currently it operates outside that sphere. If it were any other corporate organisation it would bow to customer pressure and conform. However, FIFA being the monopoly that it is will do what it wants. Where else are you gonna get your football? That's where UEFA comes in. Change or UEFA should break away. It's got the money and the players. The MLS would follow and then after that FIFA would be stuck. Two big cash cows like those gone would break it I think. Sweep the deck clean.
