Doing it again? You could see at the end that he was gutted. He knows what's coming and that the next six months is going to be very hard for him.

Cant wait to see what Liverpool say and do about it. I would like to think they will sack him and the authorities give him a life ban. But there is that nagging doubt and I wouldn't be surprised if they give him an international ban and Liverpool do some PR but then let him play for them next season.

The man needs therapy more than anything, clearly cant contain himself.

He should be banned from all competitions for a year.

This is the THIRD time he has done this. You bite someone on the street, you're in prison for assault. Enough is enough. They need to rain down like angry gods on suarez. The next year needs to be made a living hell for him.

Liverpool will be hoping that this means he stays now, and they'll argue that because it happened on international duty it's nothing to do with them.

I know I'm a *little* bit biased about this, but this being his third biting offence I'm hoping he's not playing any football for the next 6 months at least.

I am too biased against the scousers to know whether he really should be banned from all football or whether this should be limited to internationals.

Partly I think that three biting offences in three different competitions do require a complete ban from football. Theoretically the Ajax ban didn't influence the ban at Liverpool because they were different FAs. But I really don't know whether that's my anti-scouse bias that leads me to that way of thinking. I know if Oscar stamped on someone's head during the World Cup I'd expect his ban to stay in the WC and have nothing to do with us.

TBH I wanted CFC to buy him last season because I figured he'd never repeat any of this. He has kept his nose really clean last season but for him to do this now just shows he's seriously not right in the head.

I think perhaps Chiellini is poisonous looking at the way Suarez went down after biting him.

That is worse than anything Wenger would come out with. But not quite as bad as Diego Lugano, who should also be banned for his comments alone.

It could turn out quite well for Liverpool. If RM and Barca have second thoughts about paying a huge fee for a player prone to ever increasing suspensions. If he receives a lengthy ban restricted to international matches, cutting out all of those tiring round trips to South America.

He has been banned twice in 2 different leagues for the exact same thing and he has now done it again in FIFA's flagship event. I cannot see FIFA going easy on him and I can in fact see them throwing the book at him.
If I were Liverpool I would be worried.

No, but under fifa rules, they "can" impose any ban on domestic games too should they wish, but they have never done it yet (at least to my knowledge), but I doubt they will as it will set a precedent and we know how soft FIFA are. In my opinion, he should be banned for life. If amateur players get banned for life for attacking a referee, then Suarez should meet the same fate for attacking a fellow professional. if I was the italian player, I would be going for blood tests.

I agree with Lugano's comments. Chiellini really needs to grow a set, the whining priick. As do the rest of the Italians. I mean, it's not as if the Iti's are all angels and play in the spirit of the game now, do they. Take Buffon's reaction to Marchisio's red card for instance. Appauling behaviour. Or their "performance" against Costa Rica which knocked England out.

As for Suarez, I don't need to say anything about that. Once a grub, always a grub. Never liked the guy and never will. I'm sure that if he does get banned and ends up going to Barca or Real Madrid, they'll give him special dispensation like they do for those clubs (Barca's transfer embargo, for example).

FIFA did ban Diego Maradona from "all football activity" for a few months when he was manager of Argentina, and that was just for going haywire at a press conference. It's definitely in their power and within precedent.

On a side note, I'd like to give my congratulations to Luis Suarez anyway.

At least his actions have diverted everyone away from what was another toothless England performance.
