| I said from day one that Lesnar was completely and utterly over rated yet the know it alls on here declared he was the real deal. The fight against Carwin should have been stopped, no doubt about it and then last night he gets demolished.

| Quote ="Terry Monster"I think Cain Velasquez if he keeps on his way could provide Brock with a bit of trouble, he's a couple fights off though yet I reckon. Thing is with Brock he's so big and dominant on the ground that once he's on top he's difficult to shift, there arn't many fighters around that can match him for power, but Velasquez is a top wrestler with excellent technique, he's also got some power of his own.
I'd like to see a striker have a go aswell.'"

No it wasnt a poor card. Bisping V Akiyama and Condit Vs Hardy were two good matchups.
Saying things like that proves you're not a fight fan.

i said that as well, the exact same thing happened, he got put on his and for nearly 30 plus seconds straight carwin whaled on him and he just cowered and covered up.
Last nights fight should never have happened.
Oh, and a poor debut for jake shields, Kampmann should've won that.

| Time to bring this thread back to life.
Silva vs Belfort at the weekend, Silva looked beatable last time out when Sonnen dominated him for four and a half rounds before getting caught in a sub. Belfort's a dangerous fighter, but think Silva will have upped his game in training and will knock him out.
Griffin vs Franklin, loser gets a tattoo of whatever the winner decides apparently. Forrest needs a win, but it will be tough against Rich. I'll go for Franklin on points.
Fight Of The Night, Jon Jones vs Ryan Bader. Bader has been impressive since winning TUF 8, beating Jardine and Little Nog of late. This is his toughest test though against the biggest up and coming fighter in the UFC today. Jones has destroyed everyone put in front of him, and took apart Matyushenko last time out in the 1st round. This is his biggest fight yet and the winner could catapult into the title picture. Its a tough one to call as Bader is no pushover and despite the majority going for Jones, Im going for Bader on points... just !!
Tough fight for Paul Kelly against Donald Cerrone, a decent produce from the WEC. I hope Kelly can do it though, but again its going to be a battle.

Griffin/Franklin is a toss up agreed, Could see Franklin landing though and sending Forrest in a wobble again. Jones Bader I think Bader will be his toughest test but he should come through maybe a UD. Oh and if anyone watches Strikeforce Fedor is 11/8 to win the GP, other than overeem shouldnt really be a challenge.
All depends how belfort is mentally, could be a shock but agreed can see Anderson stoppin a tired belfort in the latter rounds.

| Ive never been Fedors biggest fan and I think Overeem would kill him to be honest. I know Todd Duffee wasnt a top 10 fighter or anything but he murdered him in 20 seconds in his last fight. And he wasnt the only one to feel the force of The Demolition Man either.

Bad night for The Emperor. Big Foot handed him a beating, and he has hinted it may have been his last fight too. Such a shame, but maybe Dana White was right all along that he was never the No1 heavyweight in the world.

| wouldn't hold your breath on that, they've already pencilled in the winner of penn fitch for a title shot.
added to that gsp doesn't seem all that clued up on it, the only thing i've seen him comment on it with is asking if silva is coming down to 170 to fight.

I will be lumping on GSP though when he meets Silva. Sonnen proved a dominate wrestler could cause Silva problems, and GSP is probably the best around in that area.'"
The thing with Silva is he finds a way to win no matter what style hes up against...
Showed his submission game against quality wrestlers like sonnen and Hendo..
Ju jitsu guys have to be picked apart for 5 rounds because they cant get him anywere near the ground (maia, lates etc)
And as for standup strikers...well stand up if you dare!!! (leben, griffin, belfort.franklin)
My cash would be on Silva all the way!!!

This is a sport for drunken bouncers who aren't good enough to be proper martial artists or as rich, famour and powerful as boxers. All of you people should grow up.

Are you from New york?
You are clearly uneducated on the sport, as arguably MMA needs a broader skillset than boxing. TBH in regards to the british MMA scene maybe some still see it as 'drunken bouncers', however Britain is producing some fine Fighters who trust me mate will be earning a bit more than you and me.

| Ignoring our Lord...
I'm tempted that with the trash Rivera (sp) has been talking Bisping could finish him too and early, aswell as Rivera being overated imo.
As for Fitch vs penn, fitch is odds on for a decision but depends again on which BJ appears and if he can keep up with fitch over 3.
Take G-Sot for a win too, that guy is far too underated.

Ha ha what a rinhart you are.....Yeah boxing is definately better then mma.....infact id pay for ringside seats to watch james toney attempt to throw a punch like a drunken bouncer again only to have his fat ass dumped on the canvas and humiliated for under 5 minutes...What an athlete....
