=#8040FFA lot of Pats fans over in America are all thinking he will be on the PUP list because of the 6-9 month recovery (had the op a week or 2 ago) so that takes us to November before he even starts training again, I hope he makes the start of the season though the NFL should have at least fined the Texans seems it was their poor pitch conditions that caused the injury.

I dont agree with it being the Texans fault it was just a freak injury that could have happened to anybody, he shouldnt have been in the game anyway to be fair.(although Bernard Pollard the little wanchor who plays for them now and jumped on Bradys knee the year before should have got a bigger punishment at the time ) I hope he can comeback and make a full recovery but Im not sure we will use him an awful lot next year, I think the best thing to do is let him work his way back slowly and aim for the year after, but of course it all depends how quickly he heals/gets used to his reconstructed knee.
Although Brady had the same injury the difference in positions means he will take longer to get used to it IMO, lets face it Brady doesnt run very often because theres no need for him to, but Welker makes a living from his yards after catch.
I would love to see Boldin in a Pats uniform likewise Brandon Marshall but knowing us and the way we are when it comes to splashing the cash , I cant see either never mind both sadly
Although with the uncapped year who knows

=#8000FFMichael Lombardi reported on WEEI (sports talk show thingy on the radio) that the Patriots would be looking to spend this off season but not go too far overboard (so nothing silly like 1 year for $20m) but the likes of Peppers, Dansby, Boldin would be manageable, Boldin would be happy with 6-8 a year, Peppers will have to be over 10m and I'm not too sure on what Dansby would want, but getting them 3 in free agency would be the perfect build up to the draft.

Was reading something on the nfl forum before which made me laugh.
Apparently Moss is done because he cant catch
Brady is poor and should be traded for a 3rd round pick [url=http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php [/url
Welker "fell" over against the Texans and feigned injury because he knew the Pats would do nothing in the playoffs! !
Laurence Maroney is playing bad on purpose so the Pats will release him!
and all this coming from a Detroit fan [url=http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php [/url
How stupid are some people? Surely whoever wrote it cant seriously believe it

| Quote ="ST_CONROY"Hopefully nobody. I said the same about Vick so i'm being consistent. The guy killed somebody while drink driving and only served 24 days in prison. Vick's crimes were horredous but Stallworth's are arguably worse considering he actually took a life (albeit accidental compared to Vick who obviously intended everything he did). For me doing what he did should forfeit the right to play in the league.
As it is i think he'll end up on either: Bengals, Lions, Chiefs, Raiders. Bengals being the most likely.
I doubt there will be a lot really. He was hardly a world-beater prior to his conviction.'"
It would be amusing if he were to end up at the Packers.

=#8000FFDarth Polian has also blamed the refs & WR's for the loss
Mike Pereira said (confirmed) last night that Polian brings in rules that help the Colts and everyone else in the league wanted to change pass interference to a 15 yard penalty but he refused and kept it as a spot foul (nothing to do with the Colts getting phantom pass int calls at least once a game eh?
)

You've got a real problem with Manning, haven't you?
He's in the top 2 QBs of his generation, no questions asked IMO. Blaming him for the Colts losing in the Superbowl is equivalent to blaming Rogers for the Packers losing to the Cardinals - it shows a deep lack of understanding of the game beyond personality politics.

| It looks like Ernie Accorsi's bet with Tony La Russa is still on. In 2008 he bet the St Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa, that Eli will win more rings than Peyton.

I would say the number 1 QB of his generation even though Tom Brady has three rings to Peyton's one.....but that's only my opinion.

I would say 3rd of his generation. Favre 1, Brady 2, Peyton 3. I think he is slightly better than Brady, but the rings (even if gained through dubious means ) elevate him above Peyton. Favre is a clear first.

Not really I just like taking the pish and watching everyone stick up for him
Anyway a QB as good as him should be able to stop himself telegraphing a pass to a CB when there was no need to do it in the first place, there was plenty of time on the clock and they had good field position but I guess it was the o-lines fault

Interesting argument, all have lost Superbowls. Some have great individual seasons behind them. Rodgers will overtake them all anyway.

To be fair to Peyton, Porter just guessed luckily, if he get's it wrong its probably a touchdown the other way. Still only five QBs to drive their teams for a winning touchdown in the superbowl/championship game inside the last two minutes.
Unitas
Montana
Elway
Big Ben
Eli.

| P Manning is the best QB I have personally seen play the game. Probably a nose ahead of Brady and Favre with Warner getting involved in the top 5 as well. Talking about dubious decisions helping the Colts out. Can you Pats fans say "Tuck Rule"?

=#8040FFThe tuck rule which is a valid rule within the NFL that was rightly called, which you are comparing to phantom pass interference calls the Colts get? sure the tuck rule was harsh on the Raiders, but it's there in the rule book, so was rightly called.

| Hes the best player I have seen too stat wise, thats what I dont get because I say he chokes in the playoffs(which he does ) Im saying hes a poop player? .
I think Brady is a better QB under pressure , whats so wrong with that?
Yeah the tuck rule, Dont tell me you think its our fault? we got a lucky break and took advantage, simples
Our offence came of the field annoyed that they had blown the play and chance to win the game! Little did they know waht the refs were about to see
Its not our fault the league hates Al Davis

How can it be harsh if it was correctly called? It's either a call or it isn't
Just trying to make a point that all teams get breaks and they even out over time. IMO there isn't a conspiracy to enable the Colts to win all the time. They just have an exceptional QB that makes them 5-6 games a year better off than they would be with any other QB under centre.

Or the Superbowl where the O line collapsed and Manning got off a fluke play to a WR who couldn't catch (even Eli admits that) and a ton of uncalled holding on the same play?
Brady has one of the best playoff records of all time and was the first QB to reach 200 TD's with under 100 picks (currently 225-99) with what is technically 3 years less playing time then Manning (366-181)

Pretty impressive that. Managing a 6 year, and counting, career in a sport at WR. A position which by definition means you need to be able to catch the ball. Very impressive indeed.
