Don't think the Stoke player did anything wrong there. He was sent off because Ramsey broke his leg. The Stoke player just lost out on a 50/50, that's all. Nothing there worthy of a red IMO.

Didn't see the incident just caught the aftermath. From Shawcross' reaction it would seem he didn't mean him harm. He looked distraught. Just hope it heals quickly and Ramsey can get back playing.

Wasn't watching it when it happened. Just saw Campbell (I think) jumping up and down kicking off to the ref about it. Sounds bad and from the look of the Arsenal players faces (most beefing) it sounds similar to the Eduardo injury from afew years back. Ramseys young, I'm sure he'll recover rather quickly and get back in the team.

Think the ref got the two penalty calls spot on.

Sure, the Stoke player was close to Bendtner, but you do an impersonation of a scarecrow and the ball hits your arm, it's a pen.

The second one was shoulder to shoulder and the Stoke player was stronger.

Worst thing about this is that Arsenal will be bleating about their mental strength. They don't actually have it, but something like this might help them get some.

Having watched the incident now i don't think it was a red card. It wasn't a great challenge but it wasn't red. I'd put it on a par with the one Fabregas did later on in the game on the edge of the Stoke box. Except it was at 100mph with 2 players making what seemed like genuine attempts to play the ball in my opinion.

No mental strength? They score more goals in the last 10 minutes than any other team. The idea that Arsenal have a soft centre is a myth. A couple of years ago, yes, they would have lost tonight. But they've done well to turn that round.

Let a bit of time pass. Here's my 8itching about today's game.

Micah Richards - No yellow card after that first half? The referee really needs to explain how that happened.

Tevez - He's allowed to barge into players, thrust his arms around and generally bounce into players all the time, but the moment a player gives him a bit back he's straight to the deck and getting an automatic free kick.

Belletti sending off. No one on the CFC site has mentioned this, but for me Barry fouls Belletti out on the wing initially. Belletti was attempting to control the ball and Barry just jumped into his back.

I haven't watched the penalty incident closely, but Barry's only intention when he went into the box was to go down for a pen. Have read on the CFC site that Belletti didn't touch him, not so sure about that myself as you only need to clip someone to send them over.

Ballack's first booking. Utterly blatant corner that the ref and lino decide to give a goal kick for. No complaints about his second, and he should have been booked earlier when he attempted to handle a cross into the box. He's a waste of space and needs showing the door at the end of the season.

In order of blame for the first goal - Hilario - Carvalho/Terry - Joe Cole - Mikel - Lampard. All of them need a smack for that utter cack.

The blame for the second - Hilario - Hilario - Hilario - Ancelotti. If we're playing against Bellamy's pace, we shouldn't be left with Mikel against him like we did. Mikel did his job, he pushed Bellamy wide. Hilario shouldn't have been done like he was.

First half Citeh were dire. We made 5 or 6 decent chances. We finally work a goal on 40 minutes. Then we work another chance, which Lampard and Cole conspire to make a mess of, Citeh then go up the other end and are given an equaliser.

It really sucks. I want to be happy that finally the scousers are going to fail to qualify for the CL, but with the finances at Citeh I think it'd be better if the scousers did get 4th place.

At a guess, taunting Bridge about not playing for England again. Rightfully so too, should be running blood to water to get Capello's nod.
