Del Potro won a very tight battle to gain his first ever win over Nadal, not the best of games quality wise but it was very tight and Nadal in the last set blew a 3-0 lead and played some of the worst tennis I have ever seen him play.

In the Womens' Final Victoria Azarenka of Belarus wiped the floor with Serena Williams in 2. As usual Serena feigned injury once she realised things were going against her.

Andy Murray on court today in Monte Carlo, probably late afternoon. Federer and Nadal are on court before him, and he plays Fabio Fognini, who surprisingly beat the much higher ranked Marian Cilic in the last round. Looks like a clay court specialist.

Raining in Monte Carlo, so the order of play has been revised and Murray moved to a different court.

Wawrinka has beaten Federer in 2, and Murray is involved in a marathon tie-breaker, after being 5 - 0 down at one point. Still only the first set. Murray wins it 13 - 11. Could have gone either way.

Murray resumes at 9.30 Friday and wins in 2. The likelihood is that he will have to play again today, because of the rain loss yesterday.

He made really hard work of that, and it looks like clay is really not his surface.
