I don't know what I'm expecting really. He's got an excellent passing game and he's not afraid to shoot or drift forward. IMO, just having his forward thinking in the midfield will improve us ten-fold. We've not been getting Gerrard involved in games, he's been doing the same stuff as last year but the quick thinking of Alonso hasn't been there. Aquilani has terrific vision, I believe he'll get us ticking again.

Glad Capello has picked pretty much the same squad for the final two qualifiers. Only three changes are required in my eyes - James for Green, Ferdinand for Upson and Carlton Cole for Heskey. Lennon deserves to keep his place, especially with Walcott not being included.

I used to like black cars. But after seeing stupendous amounts of drug dealers rolling in lovely Audi's in black around the estate, it just doesn't have the same effect.

Blue and white looks class, proper suave.

Ash, you're asking the question that's impossible for muppets to answer. They say Beckham shouldn't be in the England squad, and when asked why, they can't come up with one valid reason.

Ash claimed he's a valuable member of the squad, so I ask, Beckham fanboys, what has made Beckham so valuable? What has he done for the past X amount of years that makes him so valuable?

I don't think he should be in there because I believe we have better, younger options who will offer us much more in the future after Fabio leaves. I also believe Beckham's place at the moment is unjustified, he's playing in the MLS for crying out loud, it would have been like picking Sol when he was at Notts County, it's embarrassing to be honest.

Beckham used to be a great player for England, but at the moment, all he's doing is getting 5 minutes at the end of games that are finished so he can rack up the caps.

We're already qualified and we have a world cup coming up in just a few months; why should Beckham be in the squad for players who are performing in the Premier League? The likes of Lennon, SWP, Milner, Young and Walcott should all be given their crack of the whip, instead, Beckham continually mugs away caps whilst he plays in an absolutely woeful league.

Should Beckham go to the World Cup?
Absolutely, definitely - and he will, for two reasons. The first is on-field - Capello sees Beckham as the man to help close down games in the last 20 minutes. In that time he will draw three fouls, which not only give England free-kick positions from which they can score thanks to Beckham's delivery but also eat up the clock. The second, equally important when you are away from home for five weeks, is off-field. Beckham will be excellent for squad morale in the hotel and his enthusiasm, especially for a player who is not a starter, can be infectious.
He is still one of the best crossers of a ball around. For all of their pace, Aaron Lennon and Shaun Wright-Phillips can't match his end product. His experience, going back to France 98, coming off the bench will also be invaluable for his team-mates when it gets to squeaky-bum time.

Those players you've listed, what do they all have in common? They're all pretty pacey, but their end product is suspect. Walcott is the best of the lot; Lennon has improved greatly; Milner is getting better. I don't rate Young that highly to be honest, he still has a long way to go and a lot to prove. As for SWP, I think he's very average. His end product is shocking, he usually just runs into defenders and the amount of shots he has that end up nowhere near the goal is embarrassing.

Beckham offers something different to all of them. No matter what anybody says, he still has a superb delivery on him. Catalancs has summed him up perfectly. He can come on and close a game down, not to mention his leadership abilities. I'm far from a Beckham 'fanboy', Robbo4 will tell you that. I just believe he offers something to the squad that is lacking.

At this moment in time, Walcott, Lennon, Beckham and Milner go to the World Cup for me, with Young and SWP staying at home.

Micah Richards is better than Brown.

After a good season he could very well be in with a shout of making the plane to SA.

This is a good opportunity to test fringe players in a competitive game where the team won't be changed entirely at half time, there's no real pressure except the pressure to impress Capello in a game that means something.

I wouldn't play Rooney either, one because I'm a selfish Man United fan who thinks he needs a rest, and two, it gives England the chance to prepare for life without Rooney when his metatarsal gives way.
