Rodgers didnt do too bad TBH
Schaub did well but the defense was naturally non exsistent much like the Cards-Packers play-off game
It was embarrasing that Garrard and Young were playing they are poop, I know V.Young has time on his hands to get better but Garrard is dire and well overrated IMO
I think it finished 41-34 to the mighty AFC but I cant remember because I was half asleep myself

=#8000FFOverrated? didn't know anybody rated him
I think he's one of the most underrated QB's in the league and does well considering he's in a run happy team with an aged Holt & Mike Sims-Walker (who? exactly! Garrard made him look good this year) as his targets.

He must be hes just been in the pro-bowl even if he was 4th alternate he was still infront of plenty of others
Not enough TD`s ,too many INT`s, too many fumbles, failure to lead his team to the play-offs.
Anything else you need
I just dont rate him, never have done, dont get me wrong hes not gonna lead his team to an 0-16 season or anything like that but he isnt going to win anything either IMHO
If you aint moving forwards your moving backwards

| Anyone seen the highlights of Tim Tebow getting completely outshone by other QBs in the Senior Bowl?
I do hope the NFL haven't already invited him to sit in the waiting room at the Draft, otherwise it could be another very embarrassing year for a QB with falling draft stock.

Tebow is probably the greatest college player ever, but he is so badly prepared for the pro game it is unreal.
He can't take snaps from under centre, he isn't that accurate, he can't run as well against the better players. He has all the "intangibles" and could develop into a good QB but he's not worth taking before the round 2-3 as a bit of a project. In reality he'll definately be taken in round 1.
I'd imagine the invitees will be:
1. Suh
2. McCoy
3. Clausen
4. Bradford
5. Berry

| If Dan Williams drops to 28, I will do cart wheels. Can't see that happening though.
Been looking at the college game for a few months now (admittedley it ended for the year at the start of Jan, but there are some pretty good prospects in the draft this year. Suh is a beast, but McCoy is another amazing player who is having some of the limelight taken off him by the big fella.
I don't really buy into the Clausen club, from what I've seen he's done well in the ND ofense, but I'm far from sold. Other than him though the QB class seems mediocre, so he'll go high. Locker's the man next year if he stays healthy.
From a Chargers perspective, I would love to strengthen the lines in the early rounds but can't see it happening due to the value at the times we pick. The like of Okung and Bulaga will be gone early on the offesive side, and Dan Williams will likely be gone too, who is by a mile the best NT prospect in the draft.
I think we need a RB for definite. I love the look of Ryan Matthews from Frenso State, but think the 28 in the 1st round is too high, and by the time our pick comes in the 2nd he'll be gone. Other RB's I like are Jhavid Best from Cal, who will probably be there at our 1st round pick and Jonathan Dwyer, who's from Georgia I think. The best RB in the class, CJ Spiller will be long gone by the time the Chargers pick. A sleeper to look out for is Largarnette (sp) Blount from Oregon. He is a bit of a beast who impressed at the senior bowl with over 7 ypc. The reason he'll drop down to probably round 4? He chinned a Boise State player on the sideline at a game earlier in the year! He was banned for a number of weeks by Oregon after the incident. I'm sure they'll be footage on any video sharing website you may wish to look at.
My favourite player in the draft, behind Suh and McCoy is Eric Berry. The new Ed Reed.
Since the Chargers went out, I upped my research on this years draft! Onwards and upwards and all that.

| Some pretty good stuff there Tez, i stay upto date with all of the college stuff throughout the year and try and keep up with possible draftees etc.
One thing though...

If you don't buy into Clausen then you don't buy into any quarterback coming out of college.
I'm not saying he will definately be succesful at the NFL level or that he will be good but he has the potential to be excellent. He is one of the best junior QB's to come out of college ever surpassing even Peyton, Eli, Big Ben, Stafford, Ryan and Rivers. You simply shouldn't pass on him if you need a QB.
I agree about Locker also, but it isn't always that straightforward. Bradford was a lock to go number 1 if he came out last year but he didn't and got injured and now he will be the 2nd QB taken.
Suh and McCoy are sensational. I think McCoy is only slightly behind Suh.
As for our draft. We have no massive gaps to fill, but we need to protect A-Rod better for the whole year and we'll be closer to the Superbowl next year. First round we'll go Bulaga or Brown at OT. Outside of those we'll just go BPA probably, we could use a depth at a number of positions.
Also i love Toby Gerhart, i really want us to draft him in rounds 2 to 4.

| Fair points re Clausen Conroy, but from a lot that I've seen, he puts the ball up for some talented receivers to make plays on. There's a few mocks where I've seen Bradford going higher. Personally, i don't think there's a huge difference between the two. What I do quite like is Clausens attitude, he seems to be a leader. Reminds me a lot of Rivers in that sense.
Obviously Locker staying in school is a risk, but I think another year in the Washington system will set him up nicely, injuries allowing.

| By the way, Gehart looks a bit of a beast of a RB. Can see him going late in the 2nd. I think slot of RBs will drop due to not too many teams having glaring needs there.

| Who's everyone rooting for in the Superbowl then?
Have to say that for me it has to be the Colts. I like Manning and think he is the best QB in the league and may possibly be labelled as the greatest of all time when he finally retires at the end of his career. I think another ring would go some way to silencing all those people who feel that Tom Brady is the better of the two simply based on the amount of Superbowl rings Brady has.
Saints are no longer the underdog team that they have been in the last couple of seasons. I probably would have wanted them to win if this was the matchup last year or the year before.

Yeah, Golden Tate is his guy and is a very good reciever at the college level, whether he translates well to the NFL. The same can be said for all of the main programmes though, the likes of Notre Damme, USC, LSU, Florida, Ohio State etc always get the best players.
Bradford is decent but he's had shoulder surgery, McCoy is average. After that you get to guys that are projects, like Pike and Tebow. Personally even taking out the fact Bradford has an injury i think Clausen is miles ahead of him (and i think Clausen is better than Locker also). Clausen seems to be really divisive (maybe due to his attitude), some people really hate him even though he's had an excellent year by any standards.
Teams will regret passing on him and somebody will get a steal in the mid to late first like we did when we got Rodgers. If both Suh and Clausen pan out who would you rather have...Peyton Manning or Warren Sapp. 99.9% would take Manning. The principle applies to Suh/Clausen.
As for the Superbowl, i'm backing the Saints all the way. I dislike the Colts. I think the Saints will pick them apart. Saints by 10 IMO. Breesus Christ to be MVP.

| Quote ="LFCRhino"Am I the only person that thinks that Leinart may do well now that hes had a bit of time behind a quality QB like Warner?
According to the "experts" at the nfl Daunte Cullpepper is the "#1" QB free agent and theres not exactly loads of top QB`s in the draft, so unless they can trade for a QB thats going to lead them for the next 5-10 years (which I dont believe are too easy to come by and certainly not on the cheap) I can see them giving Leinart his chance next year with a wide open division that they would more than likely win with an 9-7 record and perhaps 8-8, hes certainly got the recievers and RBs to be successful IMO.'"
Getting reps with the first team will help also. The last time he played against the Titans it was a gametime decision so had no practice with them all week.
