I've had to listen to this all night in the pub, god knows what it will be like if we win at Rochdale on Tuesday.
Everyone is going on about us being 9 points behind with 2 games in hand, but forgetting Dale are only a point behind 7th with 3 extra to play!
Getting into the top half is dizzying enough for me!

I thought I was the only one that had noticed that . But that's why Rochdale is must win. It's still really unlikely but I suppose you never know. Actually I do, I know we'll beat Rochdale on Tuesday and lose at home to Morecambe and Barnet....

You're probably right.
71 points has made 7th in the last couple of years so, going by that, 'Dale need just 9 points from 8 games, while we need to win 6 from 7. Strangely enough 6 of the 7 remaining games are against teams currently above us, so it wouldn't be that much of a surprise!
Realistically, I just hope we can keep this decent run of form up until the end of the season, say 4 or 5 wins, so we can feel like we have progressed and have some hope for next season.

| Dont go watch Bradford City much, I tend to go to one or two away games a year Im tempted to go watch them tomorrow night against Rochdale. However Im unsure If my mates will let me, haven't seen City win away in ages. The best I have seen is a 3-3 draw at Doncaster in recent years, but as others are saying on here I just can't see City making the playoffs.

Good news that, as long as he's fit and gets some service he'll bag 15-20 goals no problem, apparently he's taken a pay-cut too, so good news all round.

Thats great news for the club,Thorne is a goal machine and as you said he will score atleast 15-20 goals next season if all goes well.
As for the Rochdale game tonight i think we we have every chance of winning again, Rochdale dont have a great record at home so hopefully we can beat them and move up the table.
I think too many people are getting over exited about us being promoted this season because even with a win tonight its still a long shot,if were to mount a serious challenge for promotion then id say we would need to win every game from now til the end of the season which simply wont happen,im exited because we are finally a club with ambition and we have a good squad of players that are playing with passion and belief,if we can finish the season in the top 10 then that would set us up great for a promotion challenge for next season.

| There has to be a building on this though for City, rather than just looking at what has been achieved in the second half of the season and expecting the same bunch of players to carry on in the same vein next year. Depending on the financial situation McCall should be given a bit of cash to splash in the summer, as you can't expect to challenge with a squad full of frees and loans.

Well now Donovan Ricketts cant come back to the UK his contract is terminated so that should free up some money for transfers.

We hope! Must have been close to 1500 City fans there tonight, obviously we had a few people believing!
Actually really enjoyed it, despite the defeat, we played reasonably well and could have nicked a point, but 'dale were the better team, in fact I'd say they were the best team I've seen us play this season (more based on the game at VP than tonight) and are a good bet to win the play-offs.
Thinking about it we must have dropped at least 12 points in the last few minutes of games this season, what might have been eh? However, if we play like this til the end of the season, and use the money freed from high earners getting off the books to get some good League 2 players in for next term I'll be feeling optimistic for next year, and it's not often I say that.

| Obviously disappointed but at least it dispells any thoughts or hopes we had for the play-offs, which probably (nay, were) impossible to reach!
At least we can hope to finish strongly with no pressure and finish in the top 10 maybe.
Looking forward to next season, get rid of some high earners, Thorne has taken a wage cut to stay which is terrific, he will bang them in provided fully fit, and Topp will be fit for pre-season.
Optimistic!

Theye were excellent at VP. Was Perkins as good last night as he was at VP? He's the best midfielder I've seen in this division

He was good last night, didn't run the show like he practically did at VP, but he gave our midfield a bit of a run-around at times as they had the upper hand in the middle of the park.

| Jeez, that first half tonight was abysmal.
I left at half-time and got home 5 minutes into the second half of the Liverpool/Arsenal game, I know we got a draw but I daresay I didn't miss much.

You didn't. Although there was far more commitment in the 2nd half and we actually put together some decent football. Shame we had Medley up front who looks Unibond League quality at best.
I actually contemplated leaving at HT too

Well I was far from the only one, there were about 10 people waiting for the steward to open the gate to set us free!
I only decided to bother going at about 7, so to see such a half-assed effort hacked me off no end.
Not seen much of Medley (missed his goal as I was at Wembley) but I haven't been too impressed with what I have seen, he ended up on the bench at Cambridge City on his loan spell, so I think that says it all.

I was at Wembley that day too, but that seems to be all he's done so far. His touch is horrendous and I don't see him being around for too long. Some City fans seem to think he's the saviour though, even though he was even worse than Daley.
