Keep an eye out for Ilkeston as saw them on Tuesday and they looked ok but nothing special (though to be fair they created a lot of chances which was a good sign) but after beating Southport yesterday perhaps can cause a few shocks along the way as they adapt to Conference North football. If the bookies offer 4/1 or better to win at leaders Corby on Wednesday that would be interesting.


Saw Greys at Tamworth yesterday and they looked a very poor side and might be worth doing Eastbourne to beat them at 2/1 on Tuesday. Not all bookies have priced it up yet so there could be nearer 5/2 around before kick off...fingers crossed. Jury out on Tamworth as they basically have to beat the lesser sides at home to survive but probably will not cut it against a Luton or an Oxford and with Cambridge and Wrexham going there in the next 10 days those games should give a better guide to how they will do.

Tonights speedway is a toss of the coin job but think home advantage will just push it Peterborough's way at the 6/5 offered by Stan James.

Expect guest rider Troy Batchelor to star against old club Swindon who released him earlier this season.

Can not get away from Walsall being cracking value to beat Leeds at 3/1 tomorrow.

SkyBet prices are Peterborough -2 (10/11) or Outright (8/11), Best to just leave it alone tonight?, Batchelor T Over 7.5pts 6/5?...

Stoke 14/1 to be winning at half time against Liverpool with Skybet, seems a decent punt.

Would not bet outright at those handicap marks as a 2pt win looks well possible as they are tightly matched.

Peterborough are using rider replacement so Batchelor should get 5 rather than 4 rides so over 7.5 looks decent though he will most likely let his team mate past if they are 1st and 2nd so only getting 2 rather than 3 points.

Still he rode well for Ipswich there and got 13 points a month ago and another 10 at Coventry recently so do not go mad but I think that is a better shout than backing Peterborough giving away a start.


Kenneth Bjerre at 5/2 to win heat 15 could be interesting too if the match depends on it and he can get a more favoured draw than Leigh Adams (who he well outshone again in Saturday's Grand Prix). In an earlier heat he is only 13/8 to beat Adams and although team riding may come into the last leg it still looks good value.

I doubt anyone will agree with what im about to say...

But i think Burnley 7/1 v Man Utd is great value and well worth a few quid IMO

Man Utd have loads of injurys and Burnley first home game in the PL will be there cup final and if there players raise there game they will have a great chance

Not at all now is the time to play the big boys (although 11/1 is more like the real price and luckily Boylesports and Skybet still go that price but everyone else who went big has cut their odds).

Starting it this weekend that last bet would need some balls if we got that far I know one people who has done it though think he did it through out the footy season.

I guess you can cut that last bet if you only want to win £1000 as it works out £620 or something at Evens so just go £500 and you've £120 to enjoy a good night out whatever happens.
