It's amazing that record is still standing because there have been some incredible running backs since Dickerson (although he was exceptional). 28 years it's stood. Also hearing that Manning's 5 passing TDs against the Eagles is the first time that's happened since Montana did it in 1989. Love facts like that.
Some great match-ups in the wild cards next weekend too. Hope the Bengals can take advantage of the Texans dip and Luck up against the Ravens defense. I'll be cheering on the Redskins tonight as RGIII vs that Seahawks D could be fantastic.

| After yesterday Godgers became only the 2nd QB, along with Steve Young, to have 4 consecutive seasons with a 100 or higher passer rating.
He also now has 32 consecutive regular season games with a passer rating over 80 - an nfl record - and holds the highest career indoor passer rating in nfl history (116.6).
MVP.

| I know you don't usually sack a coach that has just won 10 games but I think Chicago needed a change at the top.Lovie twice had a defence that could have taken them to a superbowl win (2006 and this year) but in all the time he's been at the Bears the offence has been average at best.
The NFL term 'black monday' has never been more apt after today 7 coaches and 5 GM's are now looking for new jobs .
Lastly I finished 3rd in fantasy helped by the fact that I dropped the Bears D and picked up aTitans D that had got 99 points all season but they got 4 td's and 33 points for me.Adding up the 3rd place and the regular season and high points title i'm giving myself the RLFANS NFL fantasy league coach of the year ![Smile icon_smile.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_smile.gif) I don't care what you lot think it's mine ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)

| Happy new year fellow NFL followers. Those who are lucky enough to have well run franchise's, I hope you enjoy the playoffs and good luck. Those of you who don't, I wish better front office decisions, good scouting and a great draft. Hopefully Mayhew can find another Barry Sanders.

He isn't walking away with it - although he should and probably will win it. It is astonishing that he managed to come back so well from his injury (only missed 1 game) and his season has been magnificent injury or not.
I'd put him ever so slightly ahead of Rodgers and Peyton Manning. Both of whom have been exceptional too.
Rodgers has lead a team suffering from injuries to all of its key players at various points into what should have been a bye week in the playoffs. The Seahawks stolen victory from us seriously impacts on the standings - we would definitely have been #2 and would have been in with a shout of the #1 seed. We haven't had Jennings/Cobb/Nelson/Jones all on the field at the same time since week 3 I think. Both Clay and Woodson have also missed significant time. Rodgers is being judged against his phenomenal year last season and so, given he has statistically declined marginally, he will not win it.
Peyton has just had an excellent season - although they have lost to some of the teams they will need to beat in the playoffs.
MVP - Adrian Peterson
OPOY - Aaron Rodgers
DPOY - JJ Watt
OROY - Andrew Luck
DROY - Casey Hayward
COTY - Pagano/Arians (jointly)
Comeback - Peyton Manning

Not sure how that makes any difference to anything? Aaron Rodgers is in the same boat.
MVP - Adrian Peterson
OPOY - Calvin Johnson (A QB will get it though)
DPOY - JJ Watt
OROY - RG3 (I'd give it to Luck or Wilson but there's too much hype around RG3 for that to happen)
DROY - Luke Kuechly. Honorable mention for Janoris Jenkins who got better as the season went on for us.
COTY - Pagano/Arians (jointly)

Doesn't make any difference to potential MVP votes unless you consider the previous season when voting.
Possible for us to play all teams (except NYG) that have already beaten us this season en route to a SB victory.

| Of all the teams remaining the Seahawks are the only team to beat two teams ranked higher than them in power rankings and they also have the NFL's highest strength of victory. The teams they beat had a higher combined winning percentage (.534) than the opponents any other team defeated. Denver (.385) and Cincinnati (.381) enter the playoffs with the lowest.

The media has been making a lot of noise about this but IMO he should be fourth in the pecking order behind RGIII, Wilson and Alfred Morris.
I'm not going to start bashing Luck, who has had a decent rookie season and will no doubt have a stellar career but this rookie class have achieved some truly remarkable things and the achievements of RGIII, Wilson and Morris have been greater than Lucks.
RGIII has been rookie of the week seven times, Luck three and Morris two (though Morris may well get it this week).
RGIII has posted one of the greatest ever passer ratings by a rookie. Incidentally, Wilson did as well, just not quite as good as RGIIIs.
Luck has played like a rookie at times, turning the ball over way too much. He's lead some come backs but many have been digging the Colts out of holes he has put them in. I'm not bashing the kid, that is what you expect from a rookie. But that is something that RGII has not done.
Luck has taken a poor Colts team to the playoffs. RGIII has taken a worse Redskins team to the Playoffs and has done so by winning a division, not a wild card with a much tougher schedule than Luck has faced. I know the Colts were the worst team in football last year but they were a Qb away from a team that regularly won their division. They were playoff regulars. The Redskins have been last in the NFC East for four consecutive seasons prior to this.
Oh, and Alfred Morris has very quietly been second in the league in rushing, 2nd in rushing TDs and posted the 3rd best rookie rushing season EVER.
So, all said, I'd bracket them RGIII, Wilson, Morris and Luck. But Luck may garner a lot of hype because the Colts have been such a heart warming story and so easy to root for.

| 13-3, in a division where no team finished worse than 7-9.
1st seed in the NFC.
A QB who broke the franchise record for TD passes in a season.
The only TE in NFL history with five 90-catch seasons
A WR who became only the fifth player in NFL history to post three consecutive 90-catch, 1200-yard seasons
It's nice to still be flying under the radar though, everyone else just keep talking about the Packers and whoever else...

Didn't I tell you a year or so back after your last playoff exit that you were in good shape?

McFadden is a cut runner and like's to hit a hole rather than wait for one to develop and be patient. which is why he struggles, also different o-lines.
