It softens the blow for now, but we all know United were expecting to win the game so it has to be seen as a pretty poor result.

At kick off that would have been a poor result, but heading into added on time 2-1 down I think most managers, players and fans would be happy about a 2-2 draw.

I thought Sunderland played well, I missed the first half of the second half, which was apparently United's best spell in the game.

From what I saw, Rooney was apalling, same with Wellbeck.

He led the side great and battled hard was our 3rd best player behind Big Jan and Dawson IMO.

Was a scrappy first half but 2nd half we played some good stuff and could have been 3 or 4-0 up but just the final ball, we defended quite well aswell which makes a change

i do agree that hull may end up going down though i cant see how they can stay up. too many goals getting conceded and not enough attacking quality to win enough games.

Rooney has been $hit since he scored in the Derby. His passing is woeful. Scholes had a shocker too, our best spell was just after half time, apart from that we were shocking. Fair play to Sunderland, they saw how Wolfsburg caused us problems and carried it on.

Foster can feel unlucky that he didn't get a free kick for Jones' goal, nowadays it's very rare that attackers aren't punished for a bit of contact with the 'keeper. Berbatov had a pretty decent game, apart from that nobody really stood out. Awesome finish by Berba too.

Still, a draw is better than a defeat and I'll take it after the way we played.

Difference being though Luke is that his actually works. We stole a a point today, didn't deserve it. Berbatov was good again, Rooney very quiet. I also think our midfield lacked energy. We have got to give credit to Sunderland though. They have assembled a very good strikeforce with less than £20 million, alot of bigger clubs(ourselves included)have spent alot more and not been as great. City close to £80 million, United £60 million. Steve Bruce got his tactics spot on and he is definitely the best of fergies flock to have gone into management. They deserved all 3 points.

I actually mentioned that in the ground Rob, he does look unfit. I think they're should have been more injury time as well, the sunderland players were massively taking the p*ss.

Its a game you expect Man U to win though watched part of it in Preston with a load of Spurs waiting for there train home, saw it go to 2-1 then had to leave expected it to be 3-2 or 4-2 by the time I got home as its what Man U do.

Typical Chelsea Liverpool match so far. We look petrified of set pieces and its a wonder how we have conceded through one yet. However, I think we've controlled the game better.

I want to see Aurelio come on for Insua, to give us a bit more creativity. This game is there for the taking.
