Hats off to Favre for having such a good year at age 40. I dont think he will be back. Vikes D is not getting any younger and overall i dont think Minnesota will be as good next year.

I've got a game against Leicester Uni the day of the superbowl, after our match and post-match celebrations & food, we're locking ourselves in the sponsor's pub until about 5am on the Monday.

Just enough time for me to get back down to Stafford for my 9am lecture then.

I only saw the first half of the game (recorded the rest to watch later) but i'm gutted Favre lost. Even though i despise the Vikes i wanted him to win it all.

I don't think he retires. He'll be back for one more year IMO.

On another note the Senior Bowl is this week in college football. Should be interesting to see how the players go, especially Tebow. If he plays well he could go high, since this is the first time he'll play in a "normal" pro-style offence.

The two top players in the upcoming draft don't feature. Clausen and Suh because they are both juniors IIRC.

Clausen will go #1 overall to the Rams, they deserve to lose forever if they don't take Clausen.

Don't know if I agree with that. I wouldn't be surprised to see them take Suh. He's going to be a dominant DT in the NFL for years. As important as it is to have a top QB, there's always next year, where they'll inevitably be picking high. Suh is that good, that any team would be stupid not to take a good, long look at him.

It wouldn't suprise me to see them take Suh but they'd be wrong for a number of reasons.

Glenn Dorsey was rated as an all time tackle and he hasn't really panned out. DT's taken in the top 10 generally struggle. Raji, Dorsey, Ellis, Okeye, Dewane Robinson, Jonathon Sullivan, K. Williams, Ryan Sims, John Henderson. That is the DT's taken in the top 10 since 2002. Only Okeye, K. Williams and Henderson have done anything. Suh is rated better than them all (and possibly will pan out to be better) but there is no guarantee and you need a QB.

QB is more high profile and will get more bums in seats and sell jerseys, something St. Louis need. You need an excellent QB win more than you need an excellent DT.

Already spent the last 3 first round picks on lineman. Carriker, Long and Smith. Carriker and Long on the D line have hardly improved the Rams that much. Why not give Smith, last years pick something to protect.

Of the top 16 teams (by records) 11 had first round picks at QB. 9 of 12 in the playoffs had a first round QB (Brees was 32nd in a 31 pick year).

Not only that...Clausen just had probably the BEST EVER season of a junior QB. Suh will be extremely good, possibly a Warren Sapp type DT, but they are crazy to not go Clausen IMO.

We have never been close to replacing Warren Sapp though and he made us tick. I would be great to have a Sapp Mk.2

It was actually more competitive and taken more seriously when it was a jolly to Hawaii the week after the Superbowl than it is now.

If it carries on at this draft they'll be getting undrafted free agents in off the street to play in it.

Lions would go Suh IMO.

They have so many problems but don't see LT as one, even though protecting Stafford should be item #1. The passed on Oher last year with the second pick and they have always said Backus is their guy. They won't take a QB, no RB is rated that high, Millen is gone so no WR. Others like CB or MLB aren't worth that high pick. The only reasonable position is DT with Suh or McCoy. I think the Bucs end up with McCoy with Suh to the Lions.

Suh could be Sapp Mk II so for that reason i hope you get him. I don't want him in our division.

HH any of your O-Line going to be FA's? I heard we could be going after a Bucs lineman to sure up our RT position.

Agreed, i can appreciate why they have tried it and would want it before, but it is just aa poor decision.
