I actually watched the game in the company of United and Liverpool fans and was expecting a United victory, yet was interested to see the Dalglish effect first hand.

I was pointing out with my earlier post that the 'effect' wasn't all it was cracked up to be and maybe just sacking Hodgson isn't the simple solution that some, though not all, seem to think it will be.

Yes, I must admit Liverpool doing poorly isn't the worst thing in the world, but I like to think I'm adult enough to be able to discuss it in a reasonable manner.

I hated Diouf before he came to us since he dived for a pen against us while he was a Bolton and I still don't like him now he is with us but the comments coming from Warnock about him being lower than a sewer rat come from someone who's the sewer rat of the management game.

These are just a few of things Warnock has been accused of over the years.

Warnock should stick to managing his own club instead of saying Steve Kean will get rid of Diouf when he decides what to do about the incident,while i'll be glad if Kean does get rid of him he doesn't need Warnock telling him how to do his job.

They are, and whether its a good move we will find out over time.....The Dalglish appointment though just smells of pandering to the Kop, rather than any sensible forward thinking.

I wonder if over time, if Kenny is appointed full time, whether he'll put up with 'outsiders' like Clarke, Comolli and any others arriving in important roles at the club?..

Good sensible thinking.....However, can you really see Dalglish being ousted if he was to turn Liverpool around, with a decent run in Europe and a half decent finish in the league?

There would be uproar if Dalglish then went and it would take a brave owner to pull that one off without some type of fall out.

The point of that article was: they won't succumb to fan pressure as they want to continue their vision.

If Kenny had a massively successful season, they would only replace him with somebody they collectively believe is better. Our fans will love Kenny regardless of how he does, but I feel the owners have made Kenny stress that he's not a long-term appointment. People will hope, but, if he left and a big up-and-comer came in, I think the supporters would take it quite well, particularly as I believe Kenny would leave with class and give the next manager his blessing.

Exactly, that's not in debate. I just don't why so many Liverpool fans are making it out to be such an improved performance, you were never in the game. I wonder if you'd have played like that under Hodgson what the reaction would've been like. I've even heard people say it was your best performance this season, surely a 3-0 win over Chelsea must've been.



That's the problem mate, there's very few Liverpool fans you can have a decent debate with about Liverpool cos they'll just throw up sh[ii[/it lines about Everton or they'll just say you're bitter.

He makes some correct points: supporters are only interested in short term-ism, the long-term view is often something ignored by the media and supporters, but, you can't just rely on the long term view.

Balague will add his view as a knee-jerk, I'm sure if he was to write an article in a few weeks, he'd realize it's the owners in control, it's their view and structure that will remain and the appointment of Dalglish was a happy coincidence more than succumbing to fan power.

I'd say at any one time during his career Paul Merson's body contained a street value of £17.5m with ease.

There's a few spanish football experts on here so have any of you heard of Ruben Rochina form Barcelona?Rovers about to put in £1 million pound bid for him.

Badly injured his knee last year but not heard too much about him apart from that. If Barça are willing to let him go for a million I can't see him being that good. Just keep your fingers crossed he's not another Marc Crosas or Jonathan Dos Santos.
