| Quote ="JTR"I read some of D'Lo's blogs when he was with WWE last year, he always came across very bitter and angry because they were hardly using him, and when they did it was to put over the younger talent, kind of like how they are using Goldust at the moment. Difference is Goldust seems very happy to be doing it while D'Lo would hate on guys like Mike Knox every week
On the point of Goldust, I think he has been superb ever since he got moved to ECW, he has had some brilliant matches, never seems to disappoint when he gets TV time. I saw him in TNA a couple of times and he was horrible, thought he was way past it when he re-signed with WWE.'"
Ah right. Well to be fair to him he has been really underused during most of his time in WWF/E, apart from the odd good bits like his membership in the NOD in the 90's. Apparantly though he comes across well in this shoot so will feed back on how it is once see it.
Goldust's brilliant IMO, Dustin Rhodes has had a lot of critics over the last 20 years (e.g. people saying he only ever kept a job in places because of his old man), WWF/E couldn't have asked anymore out of him over the 15 years that he's been playing this character on/off. His promos are fantastic (watch some of the earlier WWF ones when Goldust & Marlena were first introduced - creepy but powerful as hell), good worker like you said, and he's shown the ability to be just as effective either as that creepy heel, or funny babyface (loved his work with Booker T years ago).
Read somewhere that they're in the process of a Goldust book, hope he makes a lot of cash from it cos he deserves it IMO.

It makes me laugh everytime.
"Excuse me, can I have your attention please"
"And I quote"
I've actually started to like Cole, just a little bit, since his semi-heel turn.
Thoughts on Alberto Del Rio's debut? I was pretty impressed, I liked his submission, looks like they're going to go all out with pushing him. Think i'm right in saying he was a big star in Mexico, Dos Caros Jr. or something?

The match was pretty basic in all honesty but his flying armbar looked very convincing and his own ring announcer is a great idea.

If he's worked in other promotions & countries they'll have to "teach him how to work" first thoguh won't they?!

| Not a fan of these jet propelled pushes that seem to be the range in the WWE these days.
What's happened to slowly building a talent with feuds in the low to mid card to establish credibility? Booking this Del Rio to beat Mysterio in his debut will be seen as ludicrous booking by many.

Couldn't agree more, also same when they give a guy a belt on his debut - where does he go from there? It took Bret Hart a good 18 months before as a singles wrestler before he became WWF Champion, these days the likes of Sheamus wins it 3 or 4 months in.

| Didn't Sheamus only win the title first time around because Cena fell off the top rope and the table broke or something? I remember someone posting that on here anyway.
Either way, Sheamus' run has not bothered me, when he first got the title the only three senior guys on Raw were Triple H, Cena and Orton, it would have been a bit of an over-kill if they went with two of them yet again.

Well IMO the slow-burner approach is nearly always better. You know, the chase better then the catch. I remember when The Rock was trying to win the title from HHH around 2000 and kept getting screwed time after time (e.g. interference from the McMahons, sly sledgehammer shot by HHH when the ref was knocked out, etc). By the time he won it the crowd was desperate to see him become champ. The reaction after his victory (Backlash 2000 IIRC) was absolutely incredible and the type of noise/excitement that you won't see in the WWE for a long time unfortunately.

| Quote TNA has hired Al Ovadia as their chief marketing officer in his 20+ year career he has previously been Executive Vice President of Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Vice president of licensing and merchandising at Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, Vice president of network creative services at NBC Television.'"
That should step up their marketing quite a lot, which is an area they definitely need to improve.
Katie Lea Burchill worked a dark match against Madison Rayne last night, indy wrestler Christina Von Eerie was backstage at last nights tapings and indy wrestler Becky Bayless signed last week. So it looks like TNA is trying to build up the Knockouts division again.
Samoa Joe has now returned from his suspension.
TNA is doing physicals, blood work tests and random drug screenings at tonight's tapings.
