| I didn't drop them to fit an argument, i dropped them because derby matches aren't the 'norm' therefore you don't use those games as your business model you use the 11 other games not the 2 inflated ones.
2 games full stadium, 11 games with plenty of empty room looking like the Galpharm which looks embarrassing on TV.

But our place does not look "embarrassingly empty", except for the away end. Thats an erroneous argument. The cost of extending a ground far outways building in extra capacity in the first place. And the Galpharm IS used for other events, not least the wendyball, as you pointed out in your earlier arguement as a strength, now it a weakness. Make your mind up..

I'm done...
Perhaps we should open a Warrington "sticky", so you can post your bizzare views on that...

| When i said i thought the only logic for expansion was other events i wasn't justifying the expansion i was trying to work out the reason and it's the only one i could think of, i actually think the expansion of our ground seems bizarre for 2 possibly 3(Widnes) SL games a year

| Quote ="wiganrl"It looks decent not quite sure why they chose 18,000 as no offence but the only its going to reach capacity is when Wigan & Wire show up and perhaps for the odd international and maybe a Cup Semi if chosen I would have thought 15,000 would be better for Saints, Its also unusual but quite nice of Saints in those pictures to advertise the pitch where (Legends) Sam Tomkins, Lockers, Richards & Carmont will be playing.'"
I think the 18,000 is so we can hold semi finals, internationals and even concerts.
The whole idea of having a new stadium is to help balance the boos by having the stadium used often as possible.

| If the DW was 18k, we would have lost the revenue of nearly 20,000 extra fans through the gates this season alone. Those big attendances make a big difference. It's all academic anyway, the stadium is 25k and we'll be filling the b@stard every game in a few years!!

| Back on topic. Bonny stadium, looks a bit bare at the moment, no doubt will look a lot better when the red and white seats go in....can't wait to stand on the terraces on Good Friday next season.
Is there any info yet on capacity of the away terracing?

20k people paying an average of £15... we would have lost £300,000 in revenue. Glad yed is not running a RL club.

A saints fan mentioned the away allocation would be something like 4.5k. That includes the corner of the main stand (seating)
The terrace is similar to wire at 3.5-4k I think.
Will be a cracking RL ground.

Excluding disabled provision:
North stand seating is 4718
South stand seating is 5233
East stand terrace is 3899 (away end)
West stand terrace is 3796
East stand seating is 81 (away end)
West stand seating is 118
In addition, the West Stand has significantly more disabled provision than the East, which probably accounts for the difference in capacity between the two. The two filled in corners are family areas.

Nah. The provision is mainly for manual wheelchairs. The scousers tend to use the scooters.

| I've had occasion to be on site recently and the new ground looks really good.
I've got to say I've been more impressed with the ingenuity thats gone into the leaving of some Wigan themed 'souvenirs' that have been left by the lads working on there.
