I think we need to be careful here that we don’t create a division between supporters who feel they’ve followed the club through thick and thin and those who are turning up now for big away games. Phrases like ‘Glory hunters and bandwagon jumpers’ are out of order. I saw faces at Knowsley Road that I haven’t seen at Wigan games for a while. They aren’t new Wigan supporters. They’ve followed them for years but just haven’t been seen around that much recently. I think it’s great that they turn up for big games. So what if they are getting behind the club now because we are winning a few? To be frank, it’s more fun now following Wigan. We will naturally draw bigger support. Happy days I say. We’ve had one or two incidents now and some supporters are jumping up and down cracking on they have some sort of exclusive right to follow Wigan and sticking labels on other fans. I think it’s fantastic that our away support has grown massively. Yes, there are one or two idiots that need booting out but lets not alienate fellow Wigan fans who are deciding to return to the club or perhaps watch us for the first time by implying that they are somehow inferior supporters.

Never have i said ALL wire fans are scum. The ones who screamed and pushed an 80 year old lady and the ones who pushed the stewards (at the top of the stand and he nearly fell down all those concrete steps) at the DW, i did yes. My Grandad supported Warrington and i have friends who support Warrington so you've clearly misread whatever i've said to what you want to see so you can start burning your torches

As a Warrington fan I have to say take a look closer to home.Yes every club has its idiots and this incident proves that Wigan are no different,Bradford,Warrington and Saints have all had incidents with Wigan fans involved , Is it me or is there a pattern forming,Stop slaging off other clubs and get your own house in order. Well said. It's nothing to do with football. It's people who are currently at our games and causing us problems. This thread went from a discussion about problems last week at KR to 'wire are scum' in one free flowing movement. There have been problems this season caused by people at games (I will not use the term supporters, because they're not) involving Wire, Saints, Wigan, Bradford and Salford that I know of. We at Warrington admit we currently have a problem with a few idiots and Wigan fans need to admit that too. It's then the job of every real fan to tell the authorities about anything they know about these idiots before something serious happens. We have a relatively proud record in our game and it's the responsibility of us all to keep it that way.

iv just seen a video on facebook taken by someone walking in that police escort. they are the gobes involved in the trouble at the blackbull pub.honestly they arent two stone wet through between them. aload of 18/19year muppets giving the rest of us decent wigan fans a bad name! lets hope they get whats coming to them and recieve life long bans!

Send the video to the club, and identify them in it - although that particular incident wasn't in the ground, the same lot might be on the South Stand CCTV.

Perhaps the simple solution is to now make the South Stand reserved seating? You'd easily nip it in the bud.

It wasn't at KR it in the South Stand at Wigan v Wakey on Monday I believe, although sat in the West Stand I didn't hear it.

the person who shouted it was sat about 10 rows behind me, the thing that gets me is because of the bother over the last few weeks there was a steward sat with the chavs at the back, im surprised he didnt do anything about it
