I agree with ideally wanting british however i believe complimenting them with good quality imports, the right side of 30 is beneficial to any team. Super leagues problem was the sheer number of imports combined with a fair precentage being the wrong side of 30. I'd guess LMS was asking more than Lima

I was at the press conference and IL said Wigan would not be over the salary cap while he was in charge. He said they had been in touch with the rfl regarding the signings so they are fine. So to all the bitter and jealous fans find another rumour to get excited about.

Also when Maguire was asked about moving tommy to hooker permanently he said it was a possibilty, and IL chipped in with 'don't forget we will still have Paul deacon' so maybe Deacs will play on after all.

We dont need to do that we've got Hetherington filling the paperwork in so we'll never get found out.

Exciting prospect next year, quality additions to the team - each one of them!

Lima - Workhouse prop, big bruiser can lift our pack.
Hoffman - Hard running, tackling second rower with that extra bit of skill our lads currently lack i.e. Offloads
Finch - Tommy to 9, Finch and Tomkins at HB. We'll see how this can develop.

Well I imagine the guys coming in will be on roughly equivalent money to guys they're replacing (Feka-Lima, Bailey-Hoffman, Deacon+Phelps-Finch), plus there's Fielden's fat pay packet to re-negotiate and Riddell will no longer on the wage bill. There's not been any mention of the kind of deal Hock will be on should he come back but I can't see us offering him much more than an incentive-based deal until he's proved that he can toe the line and behave himself

Hoffman - great player, good skills, huge heart and a big tough bloke
Lima - good player, big bloke with a great work rate, solid in attack and defence
Finch - great player, great kicking game and organiser, and a massive character. Brings a LOT of experience

madge said an odd thing in his interview when talking about Finch. Apparently he likes to "put himself about with the fans and mix it with them"

Listening to Madge on the official website is that confirmation that Hock is staying when his ban is over.
